I wrote this book to help other's who are thinking of moving to Spain or another country, or those who have already relocated, to realsie their dreams and remember that anything is possible even when everything seems to be falling apart.

Our journeys are each personal, but I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason and that we all have a unique mission to fulfil.

I hope you get a lot from reading my book - not only the funny and practical side of moving abroad, but also the deeper, spiritual awakenings I experienced along the way.

About the Author

Keidi Keating, has lived in Spain since 2004 when she said goodbye to her old life in the UK to embark on a new adventure and a personal journey. She is Editor of The Sentinella, a popular A5-sized publication distributed in the Axarquia area of Spain. She is also Director of The Sentinella Global Magazine Network, which offers people the life-changing chance to launch The Sentinella in their own region.

Keidi's wealth of knowledge about Spain, Andalucia and especially the Axarquia region, shines through in Sol Searching. She is always happy to help a fellow expat in need, or anyone who is considering moving abroad to start a new life, like she did five-and-a-half years ago.

Keidi was born in south London in 1980. After relocating to Spain in 2004, she began writing a diary to record her feelings and experiences. Reviewing it a few years later, she realised what a journey she had endured and decided to share this with others considering a move abroad. After a lot of hard work, Sol Searching was born!
Keidi is Editor of The Sentinella magazine, a popular A5 sized publication distributed in the Axarquia region of Spain, east of Málaga. She is also Director of The Sentinella Global Magazine Network, which offers people the chance to launch The Sentinella magazine in their preferred location.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Spain soon, and I looked forward to learning a little about Spanish life. Unfortunately, this book is written by a British ex-pat who lives in a community that is largely inhabited by ex-pats and all her contacts seem to be Brits. The book is mostly an account of her attempts to land a husband, with many descriptions of nights clubbing and cruising bars. There was practically no information about Spain or things Spanish. It was a big disappointment.

This is a very engaging, very creative book. Ms. Keating excels as a writer and storyteller - the combination of which results in extraordinary work. It's a great read even if you're not a twenty-something female with any particular connections to the Costa del Sol. I'm not and I don't and I still really enjoyed this book, because good writing is good writing. Can't wait to read her next.
