As an audiophile, I bought this primarily for it's appeal as a DTS recording. I have top-notch equipment and played this at nearly peak volume, and it blew me and my friends away. It is AWESOME. We need more DTS CDs with the music and recording quality of this one. I'd never listened to Freddie before, but he has a new fan. Way to go Mr. Ravel!

This cd has the type of music that remains fresh forever. I can not stop playing the cd. The more i linsten to it, the more i want. I can not wait for freddie Ravel next cd and i hope that Maurice White is the producer, an excellent choice.

Freddie Ravel deserves a much wider audience for his outstanding music. I never tire of listening to his work and it always gives me a "lift" in spirit. If you love sophisticated jazz you can't go wrong with this one.

This is a very well played disc from my fairly extensive collection of jazz cd's, dvd's, and vinyl albums. It is one of the very best recorded and mixed jazz albums I have heard to date. If you like contemporary jazz, your collection will be less than complete without this one.

I bought this CD based on reviews here on Amazon, but after listening to it I'm less than thrilled. The surround is well done and the sound is clean, but if you are a fan of Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin and Dave Sanborn, you have heard all this music before, and done better. There is nothing new here for the Jazz lover, but if you want a very good sounding DTS 5.1 CD and you did not burn out on this type of music in the 80's, give it a listen, otherwise, go grab a CD by any of the above mentioned artists and see how this type of music should sound!

This will not disappoint! Bought this one on a whim and this is truly one of my favorites. I have had several recent DTS CD's that have been lackluster at best and this one is incredible. Danny

The life of an audiophile is a tuff one.We suffer greatly from exposure to musical mediocrity.With the invention of DTS I was able surround my soul with a collection of audiophile cds that i highly appreciate.One such DTS cd is called SOL TO SOUL by Freddie Ravel.This is a superb example of a the way music should be produced and recorded and made me proud of my expensive audio equipment.Finally,i must say that you will have a greater appreciation for Jazz recorded in amazing DTS.

this is a wonderful coming out package. freddie & the whole group but forth their best with so little effort. i had the pleasure of listening & seeing freddie ravel live @ a free "music in the park" in san jose, ca, he covered most of this cd, it was outstanding! cuts off this cd will have you dancing,jamming,kickin back & making love. it's that good. thanks to freddie & his group, please come back to san jose asap

I love this DTS encoded disc. Great music by Freddie Ravel. He should do more.

I bought this disc because my friendly neighborhood high end shop was playing it when I went in to browse. If you have a decent DTS based home theater (this will only play in a DTS capable DVD player) then I can't recommend it enough. The music is excellent and it will show off your system!
