5.0 out of 5 stars Something Unique 4U
These lights are different from any other solar light that I've seen during all of my research in finding solar lights to build my "solar light garden." I live in an apartment building on the second floor, with a deck outside the living room. Since I don't have a yard, I decided to create a "garden" with solar lilies, tulips, pansies, cattails, globes, butterflies,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great while it worked
This was truly a unique product, one that I enjoyed in the yard....while it worked that is.After 3 weeks the unit just died.Replaced battery with a brand new one,and set out to recharge again as per instructions.Unit failed to work again. This product would have rated 5 stars for it's uniqueness alone, but 3 weeks run time is totally unacceptable.

These lights are different from any other solar light that I've seen during all of my research in finding solar lights to build my "solar light garden." I live in an apartment building on the second floor, with a deck outside the living room. Since I don't have a yard, I decided to create a "garden" with solar lilies, tulips, pansies, cattails, globes, butterflies, dragonflies, and solar fiber optic sprays (which sway in the breeze). Almost every single "stalk" has a bare space of about 6" to 7" between the top of the solar cell and the bottom of the "flower" or globe or butterfly/dragonflies. This grass can be manipulated in the degree of spread and covers that bare space perfectly. I think anybody using garden solar lights would be delighted with the addition of this "grass." (In addition, the shipping service/speed was about as quick -- actually, quicker -- as anybody could reasonably expect.) It is my understanding this company has just begun using Amazon Marketplace. They possess quality of product and quality of service, so do not, I repeat, do not, let their relatively short period of working through Amazon be a deterrent. They are seemingly a company concerned with customer service, and that is increasingly hard to find in today's modern world.

Didn't quite know what to expect, but they are still on at 7:00am. The wild grass is an unusual sight in our yard. They are not as flexible as I thought, They are still interesting to look at.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome addition to my garden!, May 10, 2010

So these look awesome, just like the picture listed. They don't stay on as long as my other solar lights, but with one solar panel for all three grasses, that would make sense. They still stay on about 7 hours at night. ( no biggie though, I am in bed then :) ) These are so fun, I am glad I bought. Totally makes my garden look cool, love them! Can't wait to see what other solar light art comes out!

I'm very impressed with the customer relations and service for the Wild Grass solar lights. Shortly after I posted the poor review I had a call from them asking what they could do to fix the problem, they immediately sent out another set. They have called back twice asking if I was satisfied, did they work and I told them that I hadn't set them up due to our rainy weather in B.C. right now. I will shortly. I'd have no problem ordering from this company again because of the customer service. Paddy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit of green in the night, May 6, 2010

I bought these on the strength of other Amazon reviewers and I am glad I did. On my patio, I have a huge vase/urn filled with dried bamboo stalks - I attached my grass lights to these. What an amazing sight at night!

Very unusual lighting and a great accent to my yard.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unique But Pricey, July 1, 2010

First, the positive. These are unique lights and the Ni-MH batteries are a big improvement over the Ni-Cads that most solar fixtures typically use. The downside - price and size. Much smaller than I expected and, judging from the box and overall quality, I would probably pay around $10 - 12 for them. In fact, that is the primary reason I have not bought a second set - to me they just don't represent good value for the price.

Purchased these last year and they are still going strong. Look great in my garden in the area needed. Intended to bring in for winter, but working all the time, and didn't. I forget they are out there until a sunny day. Have wonderful lighting already (as much solar as possible, but some electric)...and there they are, still working after all the snow and bad weather we've had.

This product give me something to look forward to when coming home in the dark. On a strong sunlight day, these glow from 8pm till about 5am. On overcast days, sometimes it makes it till 3 sometimes not. Overall I'm happy with the look and the ease of setup (liked it so much I bought a 2nd one a month later).
