Reprint of 1959 Book,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Solar Physics (Paperback)
This book is a reprint of a book published in 1959. The information about the book lists the publishing date as 2004. I thought I was getting a book with relatively up-to-date information but instead, I have a book with information that is 50 years out of date. Amazon should point this out.
All that aside, I am enjoying the book because it is fairly well written and I'm enjoying seeing how much we've learned since this book was published. Some of the "mysteries" he talks about have been solved and some of the conclusions he gives have been shown to be wrong. If you are new to the topic and want up-to-date information, find a different book. If you already know some about solar physics and enjoy contrasting the theories put forward in the 1950's and those of today, you may enjoy this book. Solar Physics
