one of the better books on solar returns,

I'm looking for a long time after a good book about solar returns. One that gives practical, useful and reliable information, based on real lives and persons. Till now I've not found it, but Raymond Merriman's book gives some refreshing delineations based on his own experience. The content is good and far better than the book by Kirby & Stubbs. He deals with house cusp conjunctions to planets, different kinds of planetary aspects not found in other books (e.g. aspects of planets in house to ruler of house, aspects of the progressed solar return moon). All in all this is one of the better books on the subject and you should read it since solar returns are a very good predictive tool!

Mr. Merriman's revised edition of "The Solar Return Book of Prediction" is the astrologers indespensible textbook for delineating "solar returns". It also explains timing the 15 month period of the "return" using primarily the moon's aspects to "solar return" and "natal" planets - to the point events are predicted to the month and day! Although, he doesn't put the return into quite the large perspective Ms. Shea does. He does show how to choose the "solar return" you want by being at an appropriate location at the exact moment of your sun's return to the exact degree, minute and second it occupied when you came into this world. I would dearly love to have his "solar return" program!!!!!!!

Any astro book by RM is excellent, esp for those of us that are more engineering, statistically oriented (yep, too much virgo there). His Solar Rtn book is my fave on the subject - have others but this is the one I reach for consistently. His stuff on stock cycles & related materiel is supurb. And he's nice to talk with.
Can't wait to read this revised edition!
