They fit well and are good protection for my eyes.

If you have large glasses, they won't fit, and if you have a large head, they're too small.
    Obiburner
I prefer amber and as dark as I can get them as my eyes are light sensitive.

These shields are for people who have prescription glasses already, don't have money to buy prescription sunglasses, and don't want or can't use clip-ons. I don't go for the new small-profile glasses, so these fit right over my aviator styles. First, the price is absolutely right. Second, they are true ambers, so they block out the blue spectrum of light, which contains ultraviolet, known to cause cataracts. I know because I started buying these from local retail in the 1990s, when I first researched them. Any colored lens through which you look and cannot see any true blue coloring is a blue blocker. They aren't anti-glare; those would cost more. Anyone buying should remember that the price is low, so they are not going to last a lifetime. My previous pair lasted 4 years, but was subjected to the heat of a glaring summer sun coming through the windshield of my car as they sat on the dashboard, which eventually weakened the earpieces.

An article from chriskresser.com pointed out these glasses to block blue light from computer, phone, ipad screens. The blue light shuts down your melatonin and can disrupt your sleep. These fit nicely over my glasses. Now I can surf the web at night and not have it disrupting my melatonin and sleep.

They are very effective at blocking out all light.

I wear glasses and they fit comfortably on top of them.

I bought them to put on a few hours before bed around the house to filter out blue light from TV's, electronics etc.

Have been very happy so far and would recommend them as a good cheap effective way to try out if they are a help in getting better quality sleep.

I already reviewed these in the dark gray color, which I do prefer. I also bought the cheaper gray pair, and, frankly, I think they were almost as good. (You can check that review as well, and save $15.)

However, for those who prefer the amber? These are great.

They easily fit over regular glasses, and they look pretty cool for the price and type of sunglasses. Frankly, though, the cheaper version of these is almost as good.

What I like best is the little side windows, and the closed top. They keep sun, wind, and debris (or sand!) out of your eyes. Since I drive a convertible? That is a huge plus.

Will they break or scratch? Yes, eventually, but I hang mine from the visor of the car when not in use, and generally, never treat them gently. All plastic lenses scratch eventually, but these held up pretty well.

For the price, and the fast shipping? You can't beat these. I ordered free shipping, but they still got here very fast.

I bought my first pair at the opthomologist's office for twice the price.

    Thumbs high up.

I bought these at the recommendation of blogger Chris Kresser in order to block out blue light in the evening and restore normal melatonin function. I definitely sleep better and wake up more refreshed than when I don't wear them. The trouble is they're freaking huge. I'm a slender medium-height woman and they just fall off my face; i have to wear a tight hat to get them to stay on.

These are OK sunglasses at an OK price.

Contrary to what might be stated in Amazon's Product Features for this item, the lenses are not polarized. Holding a known polarized lens at right angles with the Solar Shield lens does not block out all light.

The sunglasses had a tag attached to them stating "Caution: Not for Use While Driving". Neither the Amazon listing nor the Solar Shield website explain why this would be so. I did not find them to adversely impact peripheral vision. Viewing the world in shades of amber may be a little disconcerting at first, though.

A good value for what they do.

I go to bed at 10pm. I wear this 30-60 min before as the lens is quite dark and blocks more light. I wear 'Uvex S0360X SCT-Orange UV wrap around' at around 8pm for reading and watching TV as lens is not so dark They both work and service the purpose. I find this one seems to make me sleepier and block more blue light from the lights but harder to read with it. I struggle with Sleep for 20 yrs with menopause it got worse. So this is life saving better than sleeping pills.

My husband is pron to headache and wearing them gives him headache 3 times in 10 days. I never get headaches.

So try it, you never know it you benefit unless you try it, and it is only $14, if it works for you, which it works for a lot of people, then it will be the best $14 you ever spend.

Sleep is anti-aging - it is SO important as all the HGH and Melatonin are Potent anti-oxident, more powerful than the supplements you take as they are naturally produced by use for suvival of human spices. No pills can match that.

I've been told that using amber filters when using the computer at night time will block the light that interferes with your ability to sleep. I've only worn these amber sunglasses one night so far, but I was almost immediately tired after wearing them for a few minutes at my computer, so I think it is clear that the computer is what is keeping me alert at night and I really should be going to bed!

I got these because they were big enough to fit over my glasses, and that works well. However, it was kind of hard to read the screen, I'm not sure if that is because the light is going through two lenses (these glasses and my own glasses) or if it has to do with the print being less vivid because of the missing spectrum. So that was a drawback, but I was able to work around it for the most part.

They seem to be pretty good quality, they don't feel like they are going to break and they came with a soft pouch to carry them in which was not necessary but was a nice touch.
