I bought these beads and some glow in the dark beads for a scientific investigation lesson for my third grade class. They loved trying to figure out what was special about the beads. My students "tested" all over the school. They had a lot of ideas, but none worked out. Then we went outside and the beads changed colors. They freaked! Some thought the glow ones were broken. I can't wait until Monday to see what happened when the lights went off and they found out the "broken ones" glowed in the dark. This was a very cool, fun, lesson. The elastic worked okay but was a little thin for third graders playing with it a lot. Next year I will use these beads with heavier elastic.
