This virtually weightless (less than an ounce) solar powered 2 bulb LED light is perfect for keeping next to the bed or for emergencies. Plenty of light for walking outside in the dark. Ambient or natural light will charge it. Full charge lasted at least an hour without diminution in light before I cut it off. The switch slides on-off; no need to keep it depressed for light. I had a hand-held crank-type 3 bulb LED but mine simply wouldn't hold a charge for more than 10 minutes after 1-2 minutes of cranking. I suggest not keeping the solar light in a glove compartment (or other perpetually dark storage) if you might need it at night unless you remember to place it in the light periodically to charge.

I've used this occasionally at night inside our home to avoid waking others. I let it discharge completely a couple of days ago, turned off switch and left in direct sun about 5 hours, then turned back on. 21 hours later (not a typo) it was still lit and, although diminished, still put out enough light to see 6-7 feet ahead and about 4 feet side-to-side - enough to find your way in the dark. Mine has only 2 led, not 3 as the current one, so presume this is an updated model. A remarkable bargain!

Just received 4 of the updated model with 3 bulbs from niceEshop in China. The on-off switch now requires constant pressure to keep the light on. The switch has been moved to the flat back (opposite side to the solar panel) so that pressing the on-off button may also cause slight pressure on the solar panel as well. The former 2 light model had the on-off switch on the side and it slid back and forth, staying where you placed it, so the light stayed on or off without continuous pressure.
The new model is about half as thick and about 20% shorter; i.e. substantially smaller and lighter. The light is brighter and more focused (about 30% less dispersed) than the old.
All in all, still a neat little light. I'm guessing the redesign for compactness necessitated the change to a new on-off mechanism. Just be sure you like that change. I don't - so lowered to 3 stars from 5.

This is a great little flashlight. It sits in the palm of your hand making it easy to put in your pocket. It has plenty of light, at least to get around at night. I actually use it for reading in the dark among other things. I also like how it has a switch instead of a button that won't stay on like in other solar key chain lights. The rubber casing actually makes it easy to hold and gives it some measure of protection.
For the price this product is more than worth it and I am betting it will save me more in the cost of this product in electrical savings alone by not having to turn on bathroom, hallway and kitchen lights in the middle of the night. I also like the fact I never have to charge it. Who has time to buy and waste batteries. Even residual light seems to do the trick.
What I do not like about the product are few. I think the color needs to go as well & the panels could be a little more slick looking. Also it seems everything these days are made in China. Besides it being not the most environmental method to ship products half way across the world China has one of the worst human rights records in the world. I bought this product because non other was like it and I figure the overall benefits outweighed the negatives.

UPDATE: This thing doesn't work anymore. The solar cells are too weak to charge anything or too emit any light. I am not buying again.
It is not a solar flashlight joke anymore. This light has a built-in battery and can be used even without the sun :)
Pros:
- BRIGHT! 3 super bright LEDs.
- No battery to replace. Utilizes solar panels.
- Very light weight.
- Some tiny LED lights has a switch that need to be hold all the time to stay lit. This flashlight has a stay-on / stay-off switch.

Dead upon Arrival
It arrived very quickly but is dead upon arrival. I had it under direct sunlight for hours and still no light comes out. It just doesn't work.

This light
one of the LED i guess is wired incorrectly. One of the LED just blinks/ flashes instead of staying lit. Not going to fuss over a inexpensive item.
