Battery charged right away and used in the lawn mower the morning after I got them. The lawn mower probably didnt need the second set but I panicked when not making it through my large lawn in one charge on the original set. My grass had gotten pretty high and was the first mowing of the year. Since I have gone without the second set each time. But, I am still glad I got them.

The shipment arrived as stated and was well packaged. I bought this set as back-up for the batteries that were coming with the lawnmower I had ordered from Amazon. The batteries arrived before the lawnmower and I charged them prior to first use, leaving them charging overnight. The charging procedure is quite simple. I placed the two batteries on a table and slid the small charging unit over the terminals. Each battery has a handle which helps move them around, but cuts into the palm of the hand. Ladies, I recommend using gloves when lifting/carrying them. They were fully charged when I got up in the morning, and still had strength when I finshed the first mowing. I used the lawnmower on highest cut setting, running it up and down sloping, uneven ground, and did not feel any loss of power. I have only used them twice, so cannot comment beyond that. So far I am very pleased with both purchases.

This is the second set of batteries. The first one that came with the lawn mower still works fine, but I needed a second set because I have a pretty large and hilly area. While I am satisfied with the product, it gets 4-stars because the batteries seem to hold less and less charge as times goes by. I guess this should be expected from all batteries.

We bought this mower to be more environmentally responsible and because it was the only one we could find that had a front propulsion system (we are retired and need the extra pull). But from the beginning we had problems with the batteries moving about in the clips. There are supposed to be U-shaped clips that hold the batteries in position, but they fell off the first time we used it. The company sent us more, but they also fell off. This design is not adequate. If you mow over any bumpy area, the batteries lose their connection and the mower stops. We actually finally solved the problem ourselves by using alligator clips to hold the posts and connections secure and that is working. Otherwise the mower seems to be working fine. We do keep two sets of batteries charged since one set doesn't finish mowing our entire yard. But we keep our old gas mower just in case we have to finish the yard if we lose battery power entirely.

I received these bateries in 3 days from ordering . they were in great shap and ready to go in to my mower. I would recomend this product and company to all my friends.. in fact I have..lol
