Praise for Culture of Corruption:
“Culture of Corruption, by my good friend and intrepid reporter Michelle Malkin, reveals all the sordid details the Obama Administration would rather you not know—the sleaze, corruption, and self-dealing of the Chicago Machine that lets no ‘crisis’ go to waste. A powerful and necessary indictment of what ‘hope and change’ really means."
"Dogged, fiercely independent, and with a brilliant eye for the telling detail, Michelle Malkin has now turned her formidable skills to the bright new dawn of the Obama era, and the ever widening gulf between the hopey changey rhetoric and the murkier reality. Her riveting portrait of unsavory cronies parceling out the spoils of government is somewhat at odds with the impression you may have gained from the besotted Tiger Beat correspondents of the mainstream media. I will leave it to the reader to decide which view is more persuasive, but let’s just say that, if more journalists were like Michelle Malkin, American newspapers might still have a future.”
(Mark Steyn, author of the New York Times bestseller America Alone)

This is my 3rd book review comment on Amazon over the past decade.
So why am I stopping to write this? Because it is disgraceful for well-heeled corporatist to cast aside working Americans in favor of cheap labor foreign workers who in some cases have these same American workers train their foreign labor replacement. This is outrageous!
Michelle and John back up their findings with detailed research and point their fingers directly where the crime is taking place.
The H1-B visa program is off the rails. The current administration refuses to enforce the laws and members from each party share in culpability. I warn readers to make a special effort to remain calm as you read this book because reading it will likely result in your blood boiling.
For readers working in the STEM fields or graduating from university with a degree in STEM, the information on depressed wages and job availability will depress you. Foreign guest workers are 1/3 to ½ of all new IT hires; 74% of those with a STEM degree are not employed in STEM occupations; average wages in IT industry have been severely depressed; computer science wages are expected to decrease 9% this next year . . . It just goes on and on.
Politicians and the corporate cheap labor lobby have thrown the American worker under the bus. SOLD OUT explains how it started and why it continues at an increasing rate. The book will make you want to sell your stock and cut-off any business you may have with companies like Infosys, Southern California Edison, Google, Facebook, Intel, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Pfizer, and Qualcomm. It also will make you want to vote some key politicians out of office.
November 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the H-1B visa. The visa was designed to target worker shortages in specific high-tech fields, but the authors point out that it has morphed, with help from those who benefit at the expense of the American worker, into a gift to special interests.Read more ›
Even so, I was not prepared, as detailed in this book, for the shocking, systematic way corporations and billionaires are robbing Americans of their standard of living. And it isn't just jobs. The rents in Silicon Valley are unbelievable. Adding hunderds of thousands of foreigners needing housing keeps the rent at about $1,000 a month higher than it would be if they were not here, in my estimation.
This is especially bad as the tech industry is an area where average people can go to school and with some effort and discipline hopefully get a well paying long term job. The politicians talk about well paying long term jobs and they actively attack and attempt to destroy an industry and the careers of their citizens. This is terrible. And, that they are bought off makes it worse, crapweasels is an excellent and accurate word.
The book shows, in detail, the people and the schemes, fraud, misrepresentation, pay scales, charging fees, etc. involved. They are again destroying the careers of Americans. They are also exploiting the foreign workers. This should all be shut down.
The book also explains how this affects the people that will enter the industry and therefore the future of the industry and the future of American tech workers.
The American companies obviously have no shame, they do not seem to care. The people in the companies have not thought that their job could be next.
Well worth reading and everyone should be very upset at the crapweazels attacking an industry and the career of tech people.
