A Great Collection of Love Songs!, July 18, 2005

This is currently the most played disc in my CD collection so it has to get five stars. If you have the NY Rel-X previous disc 'Paranoia/She's Got a Gun' you might be expecting some hard hitting punk messages, in which case you might be disappointed. This disc is about as close as punk gets to a collection of love songs with tracks like 'No More Tears', 'Sorrow is a Prison' and 'Sold out of Love'. To my mind the disc doesn't come over as hard as their stage performance either.
If you like other female fronted punk rock bands like Snap-Her or Vice Squad then the NY Rel-X are a great addition to your collection, and not being perhaps as hardcore as some this disc is something you might be able to play to your not so punk friends (or relations).
Is this review biased - possibly; I think Adi (their bass player)is amazing, but even so it's still a great disc and well worth adding to your collection.
