This liquid flux works great for attaching thin wires and on delicate electronic boards. Compatible with solders made for electronics containing core resin fluxes. Received from QuickShipParts through Amazon. When I received my shipment I reported that the bottle had a leaky jar seal and sticky flux covered the glass. QuickShipParts immediately expedited a replacement. Great product and great service from QuickShipParts. I'd give them 6 stars.

What can one say? It's great for its intended purpose. As a liquid it goes on easily, with no acid to discolor the wiring or solder. All pros, no cons so far.

The product works very well for both soldering and de-soldering applications. Rosin core (flux core) solder is not good enough for good, clean evenly coated solder joints. It arrived in perfect condition, much sooner than expected.

For de-solder applications, you can dip the wick into the bottle to give it a good soak then de-solder both through-hole and surface mount discreet and monolithic ICs. For ICs having close pin clearance, just flood the part and the board with flux to minimize and eliminate solder bridges and cold joints, and eliminates voids due to uneven solder flow when no flux is used. Bridges are easily cleared with the touch of a de-solder wick treated with flux. I know that the directions say to use sparingly, but there are situations, such as when soldering ICs that you want all of the pins and pads well saturated in order to avoid bridges.

Parts must be cleaned. For small jobs, such as resistors, or J-hooks a Q-tip and Isopropyl Alcohol is good enough. After mounting or dismounting ICs, I spray alcohol onto the part, then scrub it with a paint brush, then wash with water, blow it with compressed air and allow to dry under a lamp over night.

I used to work in electronics manufacturing industry, so these are just tips that I am passing on, while writing a review.

Remember, when it comes to soldering, FLUX is your best friend. With lot of flux, and a little practice, you will get professional results.

I used this product to change some small components on a dash module from a Chevy Trailblazer which had a non-working speedometer. A package of 6 replacement drive units came and I de-soldered the old units easily by using the liquid flux. No big mess with the paste flux and clean up with Windex was easy. Worked great by lowering the melt temp of the solder and allowed easy removal of the intended parts. I also used small amounts of the flux to install the new units and again it made the job much quicker and easier since I did not have to apply extreme heat. The liquid flux is a great tool to use when soldering.

This flux works well with the no-lead solder we are using. Keeps the heated areas free of oxides and allows us to solder easily.
