Another Terrific Romance from Cheryl Wyatt,

This review is from: Soldier Daddy (Love Inspired) (Mass Market Paperback)
Cheryl Wyatt's "Soldier Daddy" is the heartwarming fifth installment in the Wings of Refuge series of love stories that center around a group of military pararescue jumpers. This novel showcases the importance of forgiveness and the commander of the PJs, Aaron Petrowski. Being a widower trying to raise twin toddler boys is a less-than-ideal situation for Aaron. When he decides to enlist the assistance of a nanny, Sarah Graham quickly rises to the top of the applicant list. But Sarah has some skeletons in her closet. Her past may be the very thing that forces her away from this family she's come to love. And even if she stays, will Aaron's assumptions about their age difference and employer-employee relationship keep them from beginning a very different sort of relationship?
This book is full of likeable characters as well as some quirky ones. And those you've come to love from previous stories make repeat appearances. For such a small volume, this novel spoke volumes about offering and accepting forgiveness. These are books I really enjoy because they are small enough to be read very quickly, but they are not short on plot or character development or life lessons. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the PJs' stories.

Soldier Daddy is the 4th book I've read in this series by Cheryl Wyatt and Aaron Petrowski is another fabulous hero to fall for.
I really, really hated his hateful sister until almost the end of the book, when thankfully she no longer played such a big part. The imaginary geese of the little boy Bryce was handled so well and was a riot. I must admit that I was surprised how well the author developed this story and brought it to a satisfying conclusion in a book of this size, but I was very pleased. This book engaged my emotions and caused me to really care for all the characters except Aaron's sister whom I hated,LOL! Highly recommended and I am anxious to read another of the three left.

This is an excellent book. There was some good parts to list. My favourite was when Bryce was trying to gather imaginary geese and told Aaron not to drive yet because the geese wasn't in the car. I also recommend the After the storm series from Love Inspired. A family for Thanksgiving - a foster child (Tommy) can't trust his new foster parents because he's always moving from one place to another. A tornado ruins the town and he's upset that the dog goes missing. By the end of the book the child goes missing. You have to read the last book in the series to find out what happens.

An Emotionally Charged Book,

I've read every one of Cheryl Wyatt's LI's so far, and although this one read in a much slower pace than her previous novels (and for good reason), it is my favorite thus far in her Wings of Refuge series. Soldier Daddy deals with sorrow, loss, forgiveness, and healing all in the midst of a family-oriented romance. Whether it's the increased amount of introspection, compared to her previous ones, in this story that gripped me, I'm not sure, but I felt for Aaron and Sarah, and rejoiced with them when the resolution came to be. Great read with a lot of take-home value!
