Play through more than 30 missions from the original title, featuring sabotage, assassinations, and deadly assaults that challenge you to eliminate your enemies before they eliminate you. Fifteen multiplayer levels, new team modes, and character models from the Gold Edition combine with the Platinum release's five new multiplayer modes to create the definitive Soldier of Fortune collection. As with the Gold Edition, this title sports a new bot feature that plays the game for you while you're offline! (Ages 17 and older)

This game is absolutely great. First of all, the graphics are amazing. Everything looks realistic, and detailed. As are the sounds. Second, the game play is nothing to be compared to. You don't feel uncomfortable with your mouse and keyboard. Movements are smooth, you don't have to spend half your bullets trying to hit your target. You have a good number of Weapons, bad guys, and levels. The game includes way too many levels, and hours of gaming, in many different countries and places. Third, it's as realistic as it could be. You hit them in the leg, they start jumping around. you hit them in the head, they fall, you hit them BETWEEN their legs ==> Believe me, ouch :) The game doesn't contain much secrets if that's what you are expecting. It's more like Blow'em up style. You don't get lost in the scenarios, and that's what makes it fun. And if you don't like that, you can always try the easy way, using a sniper. So much fun, you can play it a lot of time. I didn't notice any bug while playing. Buy the game, it's really worth it.

Great for working off the tension,

When you've had one of THOSE days, and you just want soem first-person shooter action, this is certainly worth a try. Yes, this game is violent, if you choose to play it that way, but you can install it with the violence "blocked", although I did not do that so i can't say what it will look like.I liked the way the story was woven into the shooting action, I thought the developers handled the story and the character development well. I was kept interested anyway. The graphics and sounds ROCK. However - I have a fairly heavy-duty CPU at home. My laptop (733Mhz, 128MB RAM) handles it kinda jerkily. Multiple resolutions are supported and - YOU CAN PLAY WITHOUT THE CD IN THE DRIVE! Of course this means you need like 900MB of free hard drive space.... Multiplayer is fun but a little frantic. It's a good diversion when you just have to blow up some digital butt!

Only Play If You Have Strong Stomach,
By Ben culpepper (N.C.) - See all my reviews

Only play this game if you have a strong stomach. This game is very bloody. When you walk into a room of people and start to shot then you will see a large red screen, there will be legs going one way heads another and all of the guts and bones and arms and fountains of blood will be sprouting up ever were. This game is definetly not for kids. I am fourteen and I really enjoy this game, this is the kind of game that you can play when you have a bad day at work and want to take it out. I have done this a time or two and trust me it works. Because it is played on a Quake 3 engine it has awesome graphics. And it is very fun. The weapons are very realistic and sound just like the real thing. I have a computer in my room and thats is the only reason that I am aloud to have the game. My Mom does not want my siblings to see that. I have played alot of shooter games and this is right up there in the top five. The first being Half-Life. Not to be played with small children in the room. Or if they are in the house. The sound of the blood gurgling in the dead people mouth. It gives me the hibbi jibbis. All and all a great game.
