soldiers of fortune,
By d wendling (ALTAMONT, ILLINOIS USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Soldier of Fortune (Silhouette Romance) (Audio Cassette)
this audio is based on diana palmer's first book titled "soldier of fortune" and not her combination book titled "soldierS of fortune" which includes "soldier of fortune", "the tender stranger", and "enamored" books. so if you order the audio, note that you are only going to listen to the book "solder of fortune" . With that in mind, the audio book was good listening. If you like reading diana palmer, you will definitely will like this one.

Soldiers of Fortune,
By Lucy Rowe (Arizona) - See all my reviews

Action packed from the first page to the last! Fast paced, short stories that sweep the stress of the world away. It's nice to revisit old friends and see what's happened to them and this series of 3 stories doesn't disappoint you! Can't wait for the sequel to appear (May 2000)!

one of her best!,
This review is from: Soldiers Of Fortune (Mass Market Paperback)
This is such a wonderful book! I fell in love with all the characters and their stories but especially "Dutch" and Dani's. Palmer's tried and tested formula of young virginal dowdy woman with handsome rich and bitter man wary of love works brillliantly here. Such a lovely story with great plot twists, secondary chracters and excellent writing. Won't go into too much detail, don't want to spoil it but have to say no one delivers a hearwarming story like palmer.

Nice story,

Im still a little unsure about how nice this story is. I give it 1 short of 5 stars because of one event in the story. J.D. is mysterious, powerful, etc. Gabby is independent and not really afraid to say what she feels. Their adventure in Central America is exciting, and the other characters mentioned are just as mysterious as J.D. However, when J.D. treats Gabby like a cheap woman, it made me feel odd about the book. However, at the end it is redeemed by J.D. acting like the most respectful and romantic man alive. Although that event makes it a little uncomfortable, its still a nice little story.

Must have for DP fans!,

I love all of the Soldier of Fortune books - my favorite one is Diego's. This book is worth buying just for his story, but the other two or great, too. This is a great deal because you get all three of the mercenary friends' stories in one book. I highly recommend this!!

Soldiers of Fortune Audio,
By A Customer
This review is from: Soldier of Fortune (Silhouette Romance) (Audio Cassette)
This audio book, of Diana Palmer's Soldiers of Fortune, was extremely well done. It was abridged effectively, without cutting out too much of the detail from the actual book. It was paced quickly and did not drag out at all. The narrator did a marvelous job with the reading. I would recommend this audio book to all Diana Palmer fans. It's a great listen...even if you've already read the book!

My favorite,

I loved all three stories in this book. It was wonderful because Ms.Palmer made all three stories equally special. I love that the book had just the right amount of action so that it didn't take away the focus from the heros and heroins. The men were tough and tender when they had to be. The women were innocents and they knew what they wanted. I am glad that Ms Palmer write stories like these.

Soldiers of Fortune,
By Cathy Schottle (Long Beach , Ca. USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Soldiers Of Fortune (Mass Market Paperback)
I have read most of Diane Palmer books and i just love Soldiers of Fortune.I really wish she would write more books about those men and their families.i love every character in her book.I wish she would make a series out of Soldiers of Fortune. I do realize that the characters in those books would be different from the very first book,But it was like they were all family that made it so nice.Plus if she would continue I would buy them all.It would even nice if she would bring back some of the old characters in her other books that would really make it great to read. Anyway i really enjoy those books and i hope other readers will too,,,TY from Cathy ,,,Keep up the great work Mrs Palmer

could have been better,
This review is from: Soldiers Of Fortune (Mass Market Paperback)
This book highly dissappointed me. the reason I gave it 3 starsand not 2 was because diana Palmer is a good writer and not all of the elements of the story were bad. the action and excitement were great but the characters bother me. big strong macho men and frightened little virgins! please, I can deal with the fact that all the heriones were virgins but to make them that spineless and weak made me throw down the book and scream. I like when the women have a little spunk and fire. not frightened flinching mice.and the men were a little full of them selves as if them beinga mercenary was that big of a deal , like the women would find out and faint from shock. big deal!
