Marquand’s “So Little Time”, Nicholas Montsarrat’s “The Cruel Sea”, Evelyn Waugh’s, “Officers and Gentlemen” and James Jones’s trilogy.

Interesting and an easy read. As indicated in the preface, it tells the stories of typical soldiers and their sometimes routine life in Vietnam. Characters are developed nicely. Brought back memories of my time in Vietnam.

Very good book. Should be read by all Vietnam vets. Tells the story of 4 soldiers and explains their trials in Vietnam and how they did their service and returned home to lead normal lives.
