What can I say to Sof Sole for coming out with their Adapt line of insoles except, Thank you! You runners out there will surely agree that half the frustration of shopping for running shoes is not just how the uppers fit overall, but finding a level of arch support that's right for you. I have high arches and countless are the times I have tried on shoes that shoe or running sites tout as "Great choice for the neutral runner with medium to high arches," and had the reaction, "Well, this shoe was obviously designed around someone with flat feet. This footbed is flat as a board." Now I don't have to put up with that disappointment anymore and I can focus on how the rest of the upper fits, what kind of midsole there is, whether I'm getting the forefoot cushioning I want, and maybe some mild stability features, and the overall weight of the shoe. Nice going, Sof Sole. These cushy Adapt insoles just put some real nirvana in my Mizuno Nirvanas and probably extended their useful life about 2-3 months.

I was little skeptical before purchasing these Sof Sole Adapt inserts, but the salesperson assured me that I could return them for any reason. The heating and fitting process is easy, and I am very satisfied with the overall performance. I have a problem with supination in my left foot. Also I think that my arches are a little high making it hard to find comfortable shoes. These inserts provide the right amount of comfort without excessive support (too much support is bad for supinators it seems). The only down side is that they don't have a lot of cushion. However, the almost immediate reduction in the mild foot pain that I was experiencing makes these worth the $30.

I bought these inserts with a great deal of skepticism as I have tried others for my plantar fasciitis with no luck. These are actually very different - they are very sturdy, much more like a custom orthotic. Then you bake them and they basically become a custom orthotic! For the first time in about a year I felt no pain when I went for a run (I run 20-25 miles per week). At the end of the run I didn't want to take off my shoes as my feet felt so good! Someone else who reviewed this product mentioned that you might want to take in consideration the snugness of your shoe - very true as they do take up a considerable amount of space. I have started buying my shoes a half size larger so that really helps with that issue. If you suffer from foot pain like I do you may want to give these a try instead of always buying new shoes to try find the perfect fit. Overall a great product for the price!
