Every once in a while a new album comes out i find myself saying "Why hasn't someone else already done this?" right when the first track kicked in i felt myself thinking this. The last album to make me wonder about that was Why?- Elephant Eyelash. I have been a fan of Sole for a while probably first thing I heard from him was his parts on Deep Puddle Dynamics. Later I got Bottle of Humans and liked that and i continued on collecting his albums. Those albums I mostly just liked for the lyrics and cool delivery. The beats never did much for me. But when I heard his new album is with this Skyrider band i became interested. And when i finally heard it i was blown away. It was like the lord of the rings soundtrack and el-p got together to make amazingly epic music then got sole to rap over it. This and This is easily soles best and most mature album. It's an album i can see myself listening to fifty years down the line. this album is going to be a timeless classic. Sole truly is a bob dylan or woody guthrie of a new generation. if only the generation would pay attention.

First and foremost, I own every sole, and nearly every anticon release. To keep it short and simple, if you like sole, more over, if you like indie rap, then you'll like this album. If anticon is a record label you enjoy, you'll like this album. The lyrics are as strong as ever, leaving an envious feeling in your gut, and the music has left me desiring for more skyrider band releases. Sole truly is the new age demagogue.

The debut full-length album from Sole and the Skyrider Band is a beautifully-flawless interpretation of the world of experimental underground hip-hop, as well as a prime example of how far hip-hop as a whole has come since its inception.

Another piece of gold from anticon. If you have been an anticon fan for a while and think that the group has recently, collectively gone a stray from their original, hard-hitting and left-field sound that you have grown to love and crave, then I would agree with you, though this album has given me some hope that there are still a few more gems to be had. 4 instead of 5 stars because the microphone level fluctuation from track to track throughout the whole album. I am not one to nit-pick such details about an album (which you really cant do if your an anticon fan), but its really noticeable on many tracks. Don't let that detour you though, its ridiculously good.

Buy this album!! Some of the best production you'll hear in 2007 and great emceeing going on here outstanding work!!!
