This is a great little fan that does its job well. It's attractive enough to stay in our modern family room, and small enough to be unobtrusive. The front screen rotates in a slow continuous circle that cools a wide swath of the room, without the annoying swivel of a traditional round fan. The only con is that it's completely plastic. From the small pictures it looked metal, at least the grille, but the grill is somewhat flimsy looking plastic as well.

All in all it's a great fan with nice features such as the 1-hour timer and the option to enable or disable the front-grille oscillation. I'm glad we spent the extra money on this fan, even though we did wind up purchasing a cheap-and-noisy 20" box fan in addition (this just didn't have the cfm to suck the air out of the house at night).

I live in an older house with odd sized windows. I searched for 2 years for a box fan smaller than the 20" ones normally available. I purchased 10" fans that ran for 2 weeks and quit - never producing the slightest breeze if you were more than 12" away! Then during a search on Amazon - here is the Soleus Air. I was skeptical at first but thought what the heck and I am so glad I did. Not only does it have wonderful air movement, it is quiet and has a sleep timer. Then you add in their oscillating grille - and you actually feel like you're outside getting gentle breezes! Wish you had more than 5 stars to give!

I LOVE this fan so much. I've had it for about 3 or 4 years and I've had it on 24/7 for the last year, it just went out. But it works so well, even in a hot stuffy room it blows nice cool air, there's a button to make the front screen turn so that the air circulates, it's fits PERFECTLY in my bedroom window, I'm actually looking for this same exact fan right now to replace my broken one, No luck :(( but I would recommend this to everyone. II love it.

This is a great fan. I like that it has so many options, including the oscillation, which really works well. It's nice to have a stationary fan that oscillates. I have been using it for nearly a year with no problems at all.

Okay, so we've only had it for a week, but so far so good.

It generates a good amount of airflow for such a small fan. It is relatively quiet, and fit quite easily in our windowsill. The oscillating feature is nice, and it keeps the cat occupied - for some reason the turning grill fascinates her.

We bought ours at Fry's for $30 so shop around. So far it's been well worth it.
