Product Description

Casio

With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

For the 10K runner, running remains a recreational sport. They engage in it for fitness and life balance. Little do they know that with every personal record set, their immunity to the addiction is diminished. Resistance is futile. Largest viewing area on the market. Lightweight Band and Case. Sweat Proof PU.

I love Soleus watches. This is my second watch from their company and the designs are great and the functions are great. However, the battery life is terrible- each watch lasted less than a year and it's difficult to find the specific watch battery at any local store and ordering online would be pointless. I would recommend a Timex or other brand instead.

This watch does interval timing just the way I wanted it. It has all the features I need. It's very easy to use.

I got the watch for a great price and have used it on two sprint triathlons and for every day use (don't wear it practicing yoga). The lap function is perfect for me as a non-runner exerciser who uses it to make sure I'm on target but doesn't yet need a cool gps enabled sport watch. I have a separate heart rate monitor that I am just getting used to but the size of this watch is perfect. It's proven reliable and I enjoy the colors.

While I like the overall design and feel of the watch, it needed some tweaks to make it even better. For reference, I just needed a digital watch with the date and time on it (I wasn't using any of the other features). Pros: nice streamlined design, the multiple holes of the strap allow the watch to fit perfectly on my tiny wrists and the thing that holds the excess strap has a little hole to ensure it stays put. Cons: it BROKE around where the watch meets the strap, like totally cracked to the point where it can't be repaired. I called Soleus and they said their warranty usually only covers the watch itself (not the strap) but I could send it anyway and have to pay $12.95 for shipping and handling! The watch itself doesn't cost that much so I didn't think it was worth the cost. And I didn't get the watch banged up or dunked or anything to make it break. More cons: the multiple holes make it easy for the prong to go askew and hook onto an undesirable hole in the strap (off center). The holes also got tons of hand lotion in them and it makes it hard to clean. And besides it breaking, the other biggest con was that the buttons on the sides are so big and easy to press, I constantly kept toggling between the different settings and accidentally adjusting them too! If you bend your wrist to a nearly 90 degree angle your arm will hit these buttons and toggle between the settings. Really a pain. In the end, I'll toss out my broken Soleus and not bother send it in for repair. Don't know why it broke so soon!
