In my honest opinion this is the best fish oil money can buy. You would be hard pressed to find a single other fish oil product that contains not only Omega 3,5,6,7, & 9, but also 50% of your RDI for Vitamin D, and the extremely powerful anti-oxidant Astaxanthin (especially good for eye health).

One of the most notable things however is the omega 7's. I have not seen another fish oil on the market that has this Omega. Purchasing omega 7 on it's own will cost you a pretty penny. It's very good for your hair/skin health, and also the integrity of the mucous membranes in your stomach/throat. It can actually help heal stomach/duodenal ulcers! My girlfriend had an ulcer that we used this to treat, along with aloe juice.

I have been taking this product for about 3 months, at an average of 2-4 capsules a day. 2 isn't really enough if you're not eating any fish. My hair is super soft, no split ends, and my skin feels like I've just put lotion on it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I don't really know what a pimple is anymore. Allow me to be a bit pompous sounding when I tell you all I get a fair amount of compliments from the lady folk on my skin.

I highly recommend this product.

The salmon used in Solgar's wild Alaskan salmon oil is wild sockeye, chum, chinook, coho, and pink salmon. The only brand I've found that is comparable is Vital Choice's pure Sockeye Salmon Oil. They are extremely similar in oil color vibrancy (both are very pure and so contain very high amounts of astaxanthin, which gives salmon that gorgeous red hue). I have also taken New Chapter's Wholemega, which is quite pale in color and very overpriced (I have no idea what kind of salmon they use as they don't say). I recently tried out Barlean's Wild and Whole salmon oil and it is very high quality with a whopping 500mcg of astaxanthin added in...but it is TWICE the price of Solgar per serving. Ouch. They are all full spectrum oils, ALL good quality from reputable companies, however Solgar's is a bit more potent, a much better price, I know what kinds of salmon they use, and I also like that Solgar's labeling is very detailed on the exact omegas you are getting.

As a large softgel at 1,200mg, you'd think they would be hard to swallow, but no. They slip down no problem at all, surprisingly, with no weird burping issues that you might get from low-quality or highly-distilled oils. I can even take two at a time and no issues. And there is no need for annoying lemon or orange "natural" flavorings as in other fish oils. This wild salmon oil is just that...wild salmon oil, no need for disguises!

I take four a day to get a full gram of omega-3 (two softgels gives you 500mg of omega-3). I started taking this oil for dry eyes, but the benefits have far surpassed just that issue. My hair is growing faster, my skin is slowly becoming less dry (and in the low desert, that's saying something), and I can only imagine what it's doing for my cholesterol levels.

Hold your fish oil tablet up to the light- is it clear or cloudy? these are clear. that's a great sign. If its cloudy, I throw them away. These are free of heavy metals- molecularity distilled. I wont take fish oil that inst. Four stars because i don't get obvious effects like I do with other oil, like Carlson, however it could be that i take more of the liquid form per dose, but for the price, these are great. Wait i change my mind. i will give it 5 stars.

This is the second jar and I have become accustomed to the aftertaste; fishy. This tells me it comes from real fish, I get the same reaction when I eat fresh caught. I know now to eat when taking, even a lite snack will help from belching.

This is perhaps the best Omega on the market. Love it. I am really picky when it comes to supplements, especially fish oils that often can be of inferior quality. I grew up with Cod Liver Oil and have good experience with various products.I also give it to my child. I pinch open a capsule and add it to his food. If there is one thing that could be different; I wish they didn't add all the extras in it. Like Thyme Oil etc. Perhaps not so good for children long-term. Pure Salmon Oil would be the best.

My husband had difficulty taking other fish oil products because of unwanted side effects (burping and tasting fish, etc).. Our PA recommended this product and there was absolutely no side effect.
