I've taken these vitamins all through my pregnancy and since I'm breastfeeding, I continue to take them. I compared these to many other when I was searching for a prenatal vitamin and really liked what I saw. They are more balanced than others and I feel you really get your money's worth. I was a little anemic and I took these according to the directions and then Flordix Herbal Iron Supp (sometimes the liquid and sometimes the tablets) to help boost me up. Solagr makes tops quality product and I would recommend them again and again!

Great Product!,
I have taken these Prenatals during all 3 pregnancies and even continued to take in between and they are great. All 3 babies are extremely healthy which I know is not all due to the prenatals but I know they played at least a small part in their terrific health. Have never upset my stomach or made any morning sickness worse and you can immediately tell they are working. My nails grew longer and stronger, my hair thicker. I don't like that there are 4 to take to get the full dose as they are kind of on the large size but they work so well, it is worth it. And I love the fact that there is no artificial anything in the tablets so I know I am getting only the vitamins and minerals and nothing else not needed. I highly recommend!

I love that there are four to take in a day -- why? Because you can take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening - that way your giving your body (and baby!) vitamins throughout the day rather than one big dose. These did not make my morning sickness any better or any worse - and I don't know if it was a result of the pregnancy or the vitamins, but my hair is thicker!

This is my third pregnancy and the first one that I've taken this supplement during. I have to say that I feel better when I take this vitamin. Sometimes I forget to take all of them (pregnancy brain) since the dosage is four times a day and I can usually get away with taking three a day and feel pretty good, but if I only take one or two I can tell the next day. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I seem to have more energy, have less hip discomfort and feel more alert when I remember to take them. My sister-in-law is pregnant and I plan on giving her a bottle just because I've had such a good experience with them. And I plan to keep using this brand while nursing, so I just ordered three huge bottles and then I get free shipping. Everybody's bodies are different, so I would say try it and see if it works for you.

i actually PREFER the fact that it comes in 4 pills. i had severe morning sickness with my daughter (even the prescribed higher B vitamins didn't help) and i was able to stagger the prenatals by taking the 4 pills throughout the day with a meal without it adding to my nausea. i continued taking this the entire year i nursed my daughter and continued taking it when i got pregnant with my son (and again, the entire year nursing). since i didn't have morning sickness with my son, i took 2 pills with breakfast or lunch and 2 with dinner because i liked to spread it out and have my body absorb what it needed throughout the day. we've started thinking about a 3rd and finally ordered it on amazon (always got it at the vitamin shoppe and paid way more)!
the pills are purple and on the large side - i'll be honest. it caused me to gag and i would even tear up when trying to swallow them when i had severe morning sickness (i wish they would make them just a teeny bit smaller!). i did try 4-5 different brands (some prescription) and nothing was any better and ALL had less calcium. ultimately, when i could barely swallow them, i cut them in half! a lot of labor, but when i couldn't even brush my teeth without vomiting, at least i knew my body was getting SOME nutrients.

After taking these prenatal vitamins for a couple of weeks, I'm looking to switch brands. I started getting severely nauseaus. You also have to take 4 of these vitamins daily in order to get the daily dose. I've taken these tablets with food and I've had no relief. I would continue to look for other options if you have morning sickness. There are some prenatals with ginger in order to assuage nauseau.

Contains Phenylalanine!!,

I purchased these vitamins, only to get them home and realize they contain phenylalanine. Conveniently, they put that little fact on the opposite side of the label from the nutrition facts. Luckily I saw it before I took them, but I am out the cost of the entire bottle. I think it is insane that any prenatal vitamin would contain phenylalanine, and they definitely appear to be trying to hide that information, so buyer beware!!

Not enough folic acid - unless you take 4 horsepills a day!,
By
This review is from: Solgar - Prenatal Nutrients (Health and Beauty)
The recommended amount of folic acid to take daily before pregnancy is 400 mg. I glanced at the "supplement facts" and saw "800 mg" and bought this product, faithfully taking 1 tablet a day. This morning I happened to notice that the 800 mg is per serving - which is 4 giant pills a day! Even my "One a Day" vitamins have 400 mg in just one vitamin! I am so angry at myself and this riduculous company and scared that I will become pregnant now.
