I ordered this case because I am a retired, disable USMC veteran and I wanted this to show my pride (and to remember the one I lost). It is excellent, but I don't understand why it says (empty). This would imply that it had no internal 'guts'. I also bought the butane torch insert to use with this case, I like that very much. I just stored the lighter fluid internal 'guts'. The engraving is great.

It's a zippo so there isn't much more to say. The finish is very shiny and I would add that it is a great gift for anybody with ties to the marines or for foreigners. I sent this as a present to people oversees and they loved the US military connotations. :)

I don't smoke but keep a lighter for the 101 uses it has, especially when camping or when the power goes out. I keep losing them, burning my hand and/or breaking those cheap little lighters you buy at the gas station. This thing looks great, and they make a belt case for it so I can wear it beside my pocket knife. No more losing lighters. And no more burning my hand and throwing the lighter across the room. This thing is durable so it won't break in my pocket.

The only downsides are it only has the engraving on one side, and it was empty when I got it. Will probably have my name engraved on the other side and with the money I saved I bought a small can of lighter fluid.
