This is an absolutely great sharpener for art pencils, but to have to pay $6.95 for shipping a $3.99 item is too much. I'll continue to make do.

The last one I had was lost in a move and I'd love to replace it, but not at this shipping price. This thing is so small (see comparison to coins in picture) that you could roll it up in some tissue and put it in an envelope and mail it for regular letter postage.

$6.95 shipping charge is robbery.

It is perfect. Just purchased a second one for a friend who was thrilled. The product is compact, made with quality and effective.

I bought this sharpener expecting something more substantial. When you get right down to it this item is a typical pencil sharpener blade attached to a nice brass casing. It is smaller than I expected, but looks nice and feels pretty hefty. The real problem is that the blade is nothing special, it is basically the same blade that can be found on any average sharpener. If you are going to pay $9 for a sharpener, shouldn't it perform better than a $3 one?

WE USED SHARPENERS LIKE THIS YEARS AGO . I LOST THEM AND COULDN'T FIND A NEW SOURCE. AFTER SEEING THEM ON AMAZON, I RUSHED TO ORDER THEM. I AM A CABINET INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR. I NEED A SHARP PENCIL ALL OF THE TIME. I JUST DROP THIS SHARPENER IN MY POCKET AT THE START OF THE DAY. I NEVER HAVE TO LOOK FOR A SHARP PENCIL AGAIN. I BOUGHT 2 SO IF I LOSE ONE I WON'T HAVE TO GO WITH OUT.
