My calves are 15 inches and feel very tight. I advise you if your measurements are greater than 15 inches, choose large size. I think they should put a chart of size.

I'm active duty military so our physical fitness standards are constantly being challenged. With that said, I run a LOT and no matter how well i stretch, my shins and calf muscles usually are sore right afterwards. These babies take care of that. I wear them when I run and I can't feel any pain whatsoever. They feel amazing and it makes me want to KEEP on going, whereas before I might need to stop because my shins are beginning to hurt. If you have ever had shin splints you know what I am talking about. Yes they are snug, yes they are not that easy to put on but thats the point, they compress. They are well worth the price.

These are a less expensive alternative to the Zensah sleeves that I bought 2 years ago for over $40. These Red Lion sleeves are almost the same but about 60% cheaper (in price but not quality!).

I have 15" calves and ordered the medium/large. Nevertheless they are still quite tight and hard to put on. Once on, however, they are generally comfortable and can be worn for hours without problems except for creases and marks in the skin when removed. However, this goes away in about an hour or so after you take them off.

The good news is that, for me at least, they protect my legs and allow me to exercise without serious pain. I have an old injury in my left calf which causes discomfort & pain if I do too much exercise. Recently my right leg developed painful shin splints. Now that I've used these for a few weeks I'm back to exercising regularly and I no longer have serious shin pain after exercise.

If you have pain in your calves or shins, these will reduce the pain by about 70-80% and allow you to recover much faster. I definitely recommend them because they do the job and are sold as a pair at a fair price. Some companies are so greedy that they sell only one leg sleeve at twice the price. In my opinion Zensah leg compression, although slightly better quality, are sold at an outrageous ripoff price. I took a chance getting these and I'm glad I did.

I recently had venous RF ablation done on both legs. After the procedure, I had to wear medical grade 2XU full leggings during recovery. My full time job requires that I sit at the computer for 8 hrs a day and my part-time job as a server requires that I stand for 8 shifts. I really want to prevent future issues with my veins and leggings are not ideal for me. In discussing prevention of future relfux issues, my doctor recommended that I try calf sleeves with medium support. My doctor sells 2xu products which are comfy, but extremely pricey. They also don't feel as though they offer that much compression, but, maybe (like Tommie Copper), they are comfy so that people will actually wear them. Well, I read a lot of reviews about 2XU, Zensah, Red Lion, and many, many more companies out there. For my uses and for my budget, I decided to go with Red Lyon. These also come in cute patterns as opposed to sporty styles. If you want to look like one of the Xmen, I recommend going with 2XU. I decided to go with the black sleeves/white stitching to try out. I am 5'4" with a 15.5" calf girth. I was a ballerina at one point in my life so my calves are muscular, but I have thinner ankles. I ordered the M/L. These fit exactly as pictured on the manequinn leg here- the bottom sits right above my ankle bone and the top reaches to right below my knee cap. In the back, my calf is covered completely and the material does not rub against the back of my knee. With the 2Xu sleeves, the top of the sleeve went up into the middele of the crease in the back of my knee and I could see where that would get annoying if I was moving around a lot. Unlike pricier brands, the patterned stitching is embroidered on and it presses up against your skin while yo uare wearing them. It does leave the marks in your skin much like socks do. It is a minor annoyance since ultimately the sleeves are well made, fit (me) perfectly, good value for their price, and do what I need them to do. These are thicker than the 2XU sleeves and if I were running a marathon or living in AZ, I might opt for the thinner, moisuture wicking material of the 2XU. I live in the CO Rockies so it's generally cooler here and I like the added bonus of warmth my calves get. Red Lion is a reputable company known for quality sport socks with fun patterns. This product relfects the high quality and fun they are known for. Thanks to Prime, I got these within 2 days of ordering- just as I was able to quit wearing the leggings. If you are on a budget and petite, I think these will really work for you.

These compression sleeves are amazing! My husband is an avid runner with shin splints and some calf pain and these are extremely helpful when he is running! The sleeves are tight and comfortable and better than the other brands we have tried. The seller communicates quickly and honestly and shipping is very prompt, too! These are the best compression sleeves out there that we have tried and we plan to buy another pair very soon.

This product runs on the small side. It definitely can't be dried, or they would be too small. Buy a little bigger than you need.

I just started working out after 10 years of avoiding the gym. My first welcome back to the gym was shin splints! I tried to choose a compression sleeve that would help, read the reviews on this product and decided on this one. The sleeves help because they provide that much needed pressure on my legs, and I have not had the intense pain that I first had since I've started using them. Still have some pain, but not as intense. The only thing that I wish is that these sleeves were longer, they are kind of short because they don't cover my calves to the top. But, in the pictures it looked like they would cover completely so the photo was deceiving.

I was having calf cramp issues while running for a couple of years now, so I finally decided to try these. I haven't had a problem since. I won't run without them now.

These leg sleeves are a great buy. I usually wear them every night to counteract blood pooling in my legs.
