helmet is stylish,light and safe feeling. i love it and use it all the time. it was also inexpensive. it arrived quickly with cheap shipping cost. i love amazon.com and the helmet.

Got a helmet do to travel in states with helmet laws.

Polycarbonate shell makes it light weight.

Well, I have not hit my head while wearing this helmet yet, so I can not say how good the protection really is, but compared to the many other helmets I've had, it seems to have a tough shell and good energy-absorbing material and padding inside. The strap is the standard double metal ring type everybody is used to, and it is very comfortable for me. It also seems quite lightweight which is a nice benefit. I think it actually looks better in reality than in the photos here. It's just a cool helmet at a great price and I would recommend it. Please don't ride without a helmet, this is very un-noticed feeling on the head and does not cause any blind spots, so you have no excuse to risk riding without head protection!

This helmet sits high on your head, giving you the dreaded "mushroom head" look. Spend a little more and get a nice lid. You'll be glad you did. At least now I've got a spare helmet or something I can make a friend wear to look funny.

The sizing is right on - that'a a plus. I'm confident that it will protect your head in case of a crash, although you might break a car in half with it since it's so huge.

I am certain that this helmet will be a perfect fit for someone else. I however found it too large and had to exchange it. The service at outlaw was remarkable and I got a different replacement helmet in about a week. On this particular helmet, I bought a XL and it was too large. Given that my other helmets were an XL, I was a little set back. Nevertheless, upon the return, the seller did not have a size M and it was on backorder. Therefore, I opted for a different type of half helmet also from Outlaw and I have genuinely happier with the result as the new helmet was not only smaller and lighter but also DOT approved. The helmet I received in exchange was an "Ultra Slim Profile Fiberglass Black Matte Motorcycle Half Helmet."

This helmet is great. It's very comfortable and does the job. I haven't had it pull my head around, even at 65 mph. Though the first time out I didn't have the strap quite tight enough and it did want to slip off just a bit. I pulled the strap a little more snug and no problems.

The strap is a little difficult to fasten, like some other reviewers said, at least compared to other d-ring types I've used. But it's not a problem. And the snap button is good for the extra slack.

There is a little of the "mushroom head" effect with this helmet, but you'll get that with any helmet that is DOT approved. It's better than others I've seen, though. Overall I really like the helmet and I'm glad I got it.

I ordered this helmet which arrived on time and in great shape. I have a 23" head and I ordered the large and it fit spot on. The chin strap is comfortable and there is a snap that holds the excess to it doesn't flap in the wind. This is my first 1/2 helmet and it been a great helmet. Its light and yet I still feel very protected.

The only con that I can think us is that it didn't come with a bag and that the double-d ring is not the easiest mechanism to use. Also, for newbies like myself get yourself a pair of earplugs! Although wind noise is tolerable in a full face rig - the wind noise is deafening at anything more than 25 mph with this helmet (which should be expected).

quite nice, especially for the price. It does have more foam than expected making it look much bigger in your head, but its well worth it!

I ordered this through Amazon and from LeatherUp which did a fine job sending me the helmet in about a week. It is just as pictured, comes with the visor to snap on and has the double d rings, dreaded double d rings. I need to get the instant snap add on or go nuts with the d rings. If you have issues with figuring out how to make the chin strap work in the rings, an aftermarket device is available for many types. this one had a neat little red snap to keep the excess strap from slapping the side of the helmet at speed and another tab to insert in the strap and ring flow to you can work it easier but that does not make it easy.I do not detract from the helmet because of this because it is still a standard method for some very odd reason. with the availability of other methods which should pass the safety tests i dont know why snap together clasps arent universal by now. True,in a safety test a strap in a double d ring configuration will not fail ,it will stay attached. no question. but so many people dont bother to run it, just leave it loose so the helmet can slip under the chin but in any trouble it is going back on the head.
I liked the fit of the helmet, the solid sense of security it offers, nice full padding inside.. I have owned full face shoei, bells and had the open face bell before this for my large bikes. the closed chin cost 5times this and even the open face helmet cost 3times as much but they are no good after a few years in the sun. they will not provide good protection. I never had a little half helmet 'hat' before. at first, it feels funny because my ears are not obstructed, though the strap connects to the flaps that do go over the ears thought just as the pic shows, are open. now if i can only make the strap adjust with my gloves on...

I bought this helmet last year to ride with my 2001 Honda Shadow cruiser bike. The picture looked decent and I wanted to avoid the dreaded martian head look. When I got the helmet I was rather dissapointed that it did indeed gave you that dome skull look. Anyway, I stuck with it. Couple months of use I decided I wanted to be more bad ass and was going to get a sleeker chrome non DOT helmet. Fortunately for me I didn't get a chance to. THIS HELMET SAVED MY LIFE!! Long story short: I was riding down the highway, saw a pothole, attempted swerve to avoid pothole, I was doing like 90, bike went squirelly, I flew over the handlebars like 30 feet ahead of the bike, my noggin banged the concrete like 3 or 4 times, road rash and fractured/torn ligaments ankle. I was shocked that I didn't die. If I had the thin aluminum foil helmet I would have surely died. Anyway the helmet is comfortable and it does not look that bad, especially if you have some cool shades. Thanks for reading. And please RIDE SAFE!!
