Great CD full of artists that have made a significant impact on popular culture. The music of my parents generation, this CD provides contemporary listners a true idea of how significant these artists were to a generation of African Americans coming out of segregation and discovering self-pride.

I bought this CD just for Lionel Richie's Jesus Is Love, however the whole CD was great.

I had been looking for this cd for quiet a long time, the price was great and it was packaged securely. I received the cd on the date promised with no problems at all.

I have to go along with everybody else's review on this album. It just makes me feel good to listen to it and it even has a little taste of James Brown on it! How can you go wrong? You'll be glad you got this. Thanks.

Wow! I can't believe this album has so many good songs. All you have to do is listen to the very first track, Hold On and your hooked! I can listen to this song over and over. Other real good tracks include, I'll Take You There, Respect Yourself and Oh Happy Day. This is an all around terrific album.
