I heard this cd playing at my local get fresh record store, while my ears were being filled with gasm juice I was wondering "What is this gasm juice inducer" the fine worksmith exclaimed "this is the new ninjatune release" I bought it. It was good.More In Depth:

Can't loose...,

As with anything released by Solid Steel, or Ninja Tune,
for that matter, you simply can't loose. Just like the show, the mix is tight, fresh, and funky. The best of the old is mixed with the most creative of the new to create a hybrid of old-skool funky and new skool intelligence.

Lesson Learned!,

As I write I still haven't finished listening to this for the first time, but initial impressions are really good: the segue into "The Message" alone will bring a smile to your face, and the sequencing of Ike & Tina Turner, David Holmes and Toots and the Maytals is unbelievably funky. The Hexstatic mix is groovier and less frantic than DJ Food's first mix in the Solid Steel series, and to my mind it's much more listenable. Excellent.
