This review is from: Solid Steel Mix (Audio CD)
I heard this cd playing at my local get fresh record store, while my ears were being filled with gasm juice I was wondering "What is this gasm juice inducer" the fine worksmith exclaimed "this is the new ninjatune release" I bought it. It was good.

More In Depth:
The mixing is superb, its not your typical hey look i'm beat mixing... its smooth, its suave, its ready to ROCK YOUR ABS. the track selection is phenom as well. Groove to this album front to back, you'll enjoy it very much.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can't loose..., September 7, 2004

This review is from: Solid Steel Mix (Audio CD)
As with anything released by Solid Steel, or Ninja Tune,
for that matter, you simply can't loose. Just like the show,
the mix is tight, fresh, and funky. The best of the old
is mixed with the most creative of the new to create a
hybrid of old-skool funky and new skool intelligence.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lesson Learned!, May 19, 2003
This review is from: Solid Steel Mix (Audio CD)
As I write I still haven't finished listening to this for the first time, but initial impressions are really good: the segue into "The Message" alone will bring a smile to your face, and the sequencing of Ike & Tina Turner, David Holmes and Toots and the Maytals is unbelievably funky. The Hexstatic mix is groovier and less frantic than DJ Food's first mix in the Solid Steel series, and to my mind it's much more listenable. Excellent.
