Too Big,
By Jerry (California, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Acecad Digimemo L2 Portfolio (Electronics)
I purchased the DiGiMemo digital notepad (which is great) and needed a case to protect it from the beating it was taking in my bag. The product is nice, but it is HUGE! It's bigger than my 15" laptop. And when I take it out at meetings to use, I end up using way more space than I should.
They need to offer something a little more inconspicuous. It's just too darn big.

I purchased this product for notetaking when meeting with clients. The pad captures writing perfectly and syncing with the computer is a snap. The portfolio is cheaply made but it fits the pad well. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

This review is from: Acecad Digimemo L2 Portfolio (Electronics)
I purchased this portfolio for my wife's Acecad Digimemo. The interior design is similar to other portfolios I've owned. It has a few pockets to carry accessories or other items you might need and a convenient pen holder. The elastic straps hold the Digimemo snuggly in place, so there is no concern that it will fall out or get jostled around inside.
The exterior has a nice, leather-like feel to it and a professional look. I can't comment on durability, as we've only had it for a short time, but it seems like it would hold up similar to the other portfolios that I've had for a few years of continuous use. On the downside: When the Digimemo is in the portfolio the SD card slot and the mini-USB port are both difficult to access. You almost have to remove the Digimemo from the portfolio to gain access. The portfolio is kind of bulky. It's not comfortable to write on the pad while it's on my lap. I have to take the Digimemo out of the portfolio to get comfortable. When writing on a table, this portfolio is fine, unless you have limited space. The portfolio cannot be folded completely over, so you have to remove the Digimemo if you don't have space to lay it open flat. Conclusion: I would recommend buying this portfolio if you will be carrying your Digimemo around (i.e. at work, in school, etc.). For an expensive purchase, it's worth having this to protect it while in transit, or at least find an alternative that fits. A portfolio designed for a small laptop, might be a reasonable alternative. If you will not be transporting your Digimemo (i.e. just using it at home, just in your office, etc.), I don't think this item is necessarily. It's a little frustrating at times, so for me, the added protection that it provides is the only thing that makes it worthwhile.
