L'opera raccoglie le immagini del concerto di questo artista francese di fronte ad un folto pubblico (oltre 170.000 persone) svoltosi il 26 agosto 2005 a Gdansk in Polonia per celebrare il 25esimo anniversario del "Solidarity Trade Union" su invito del Premio Nobel Lech Walesa. Il concerto è stato accompagnato dall'orchestra sinfonica di Gdansk con cori polacchi e si è tenuto ai cantieri navali nel nord della città, dove fu fondato il sindacato indipendente "Solidarnosc" nell'agosto del 1980. Tra i brani eseguiti possiamo citare tra i più famosi Oxygene e Equinoxe. La musica di Jarre in Polonia è sempre stata sinonimo di libertà. Inoltre in quest'occasione J.M. Jarre ha suonato "Solidarity Tonight", invitando Lech Wales sul palco, acclamato da tutti gli spettatori. Il live album è entrato in Polonia al # 1 delle classifiche, disco d'oro per vendite superiori alle 24.000 copie.

A very energetic J.M. Jarre at the 25th anniversary of the Solidarity movement in Gdansk.
The concert includes 21 tracks from Oxygene, Rendez-Vous, Aero and Chronologie and starts with an openenig from Industrial Revolution:

Very good sound(although no DTS) and image.
The European release(zone 2) includes also a CD from the live performance.
A must for the Jarre fans, although it can be argued if this is the best DVD up to now; personally I prefer more the "Live in Pekin", but I wouldn't miss this one either.
Let's hope we will see on DVD more of his concerts-La Defense, Huston, etc.I'm ready to buy them all!

Jean Michel Jarre has even mentioned that he enjoys performing in America. So why isn't he making some sort of effort to get his DVD's released over here in the US?

There are several Jean Michel Jarre shows that are available and viewable only in Europe. Jarre's "Oxygene Moscow" is the only NTSC DVD available in the US.

I guess I'm going to have to invest in a Region Free DVD player if all my favorite artists are only available on DVD in Europe. This applies to Mike Oldfield too.
