Nice Surprise, March 24, 2006
This review is from: Solitude (Audio CD)
I picked this CD up at my local obscure music store for like 8 bucks. It was clearly labeled 'For fans of...' and it went on to accurately list some similar music. Anyway, if you're not one of those genre zealots who thinks music should sound a certain way because it's placed in a certain section of the record store, and just appreciate it for what it is, I think you'll be genuinely impressed by Gunmetal Grey. I certainly was. Melodic Hardcore with metal-esque vocals and in places the chorus is sung clearly and cleanly. Difficult to fight the headbanging impulse while this is playing.

A good listen., February 9, 2006
This review is from: Solitude (Audio CD)
I think this CD was well done. It has some pretty catchy tunes, and even though the previous review states that it's cookie cutter metalcore I still think it's good. Metalcore is a hybrid of Melodic and Hardcore sounds and this pretty much fits that discription.

Great Bay Area Thrash, March 22, 2008
This review is from: Solitude (Audio CD)
If only some record labels looked for talent rather than the next big sale. These guys are amazing, great guitar work, and the singer (screamer) is good too. Every song contributes to the album and they flow excellently. In short, the only negative thing about this album is that it leaves you wanting more, and unfortunately, that is not entirely likely to happen due to the band's minimal fame. :(

Batman Is Harder Than These Guys, July 20, 2005
This review is from: Solitude (Audio CD)
Review by Tyler Wagnon: Holy boring and uninspired metalcore Batman! Gunmetal Grey represent everything wrong in metalcore. They play generic, cookie cutter crap with absolutely no energy or technical flair. Not only that, but they add some of the most disgustingly flat clean singing imaginable, and the lyrics are terrible to boot. No thanks.
