For Beatles nutcases like myself, Jorg Peiper's books are absolutely essential, no-kidding around must-haves. Not only is it a labor of exhaustive research, it is a labor of love. Brilliant. This also includes updates to his Film and TV Chronicle book covering the Beatle years, making it even MORE essential. I'm only allowed five, but I'm giving this five extra virtual stars for a total of ten. BUY IT NOW!!!

Warning on Photographs,

This is a warning to buyers of this title from Amazon. Despite what you see when you use Amazon's "Look Inside" facility, the thumbnail photographs in the copy that I received (and returned) are NOT in full colour but are in black & white. So four stars for the excellent text, but if the pics had been in colour it would have received the full complement. Does anyone have any explanation for this discrepancy?
