About the Author

ELVIS DINO ESQUIVEL was born in Santa Ana, CA. He spent his childhood in Michoacan, Mexico, where his mother is originally from. In mid 2000, he returned to California to study high school. In 2004, after graduating from high school and with a strong sense of patriotism, Esquivel enlisted in the US Navy, where he served as an aircraft mechanic for Strike Squadron EIGHT SIX (VFA -86). He was eventually deployed to the Persian Gulf onboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). By mid 2007, Esquivel returns to California after honorably serving his country and soon enrolled in college. During that same year, Esquivel publishes his first poetry book, "Solo llore en otono", which includes various poems he wrote during his military service in the Middle East. Also, Esquivel is a member of 'Poetas del mundo.' He lives in Southern California. You can visit him at www.elvisdino.blogspot.com

This book is filled with amazing poems, full of honest feelings. Its great that we still have poets out there that use old-fashioned rhyming, which gives the reader a more pleasant experience.

Great book with beautiful and creative poetry, it captures your heart! Elvis Esquivel is brilliant. Definitely, "Solo llore en otono" is a must-have poetry book.
