Martin Sexton is a real American treasure. He's an excellent songwriter, but as the other reviewers said, where he shines is in his live performances. He has a real talent for using his voice as an instrument, not just a way to express his lyrics. All of this is to say that Martin, live, is not to be missed. This is his second official live album, and this is more stripped-down and raw (since it's just him and a guitar, no backing band). If you'd like a good introduction to him and his work, you can't beat this album. It really is a brilliant collection by a brilliant musician.

I have been a Martin fan for several years now. I have never had the opportunity to see him live, but I have several of his recordings. I just received this recording, and it completely blew me away. The CD alone is worth the price. The live DVD is a huge bonus.

I can certainly understand a person hearing or seeing Martin and deciding that he is not exactly their taste. After all, music is art, and art is completely individual. But if you can listen to Martin and not agree that he is a huge musical talent, then I would suggest that you have no musical taste. If you appreciate talent and taste, you will love this product. This guy is a true musical treasure for our times. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I have been to many a concert and I tell you this artist is just an amazing live performer and rates at the the TOP of my list. We've followed him from small venues to larger halls and whenever he's within driving distance, we don't miss a performance.

I have never seen someone become one with their guitar and voice like Martin Sexton. I don't hesitate to send anyone to see him... he's moving and makes a difference. This latest CD rocks. He'll be in Kent, Ohio in November... we'll be there!

I got a sample CD when I attended a John Mayer concert a few years back. Some guy was handing them out to people outside the venue. I have definitely become a fan of Martin Sexton. His voice has great range and he paints wonderful pictures with his music.

Just discovered this guy, and I love his music...especially this recording. So cool, such fun, buoyant.
