Editorial Reviews

It is June 23, 1981. A small plane taxis down the runway of a rural airport and lifts gracefully into the early summer morning. The pilot is Liz Brantley, a petite woman, mother of five children. Completion of this three-legged flight will give Liz her pilot's license. The first leg of the journey is completed without incident; but then, caught in a sudden succession of downdrafts and engine problems just fifteen minutes outside of Grand Junction, Colorado, the plane plummets into the forest and crashes. For five days, Liz Brantley's fate is unknown. Fate has now placed Dr. Bill Brantley, her physician husband, in a position to observe his children, wipe their tears, share their emotions, listen to their prayers. And it is the unswerving conviction of the children that their mother is alive, along with these prayers, that turns Bill from a coldly reasoning physician into a tenacious husband and father. Together with his children now for the first time - physically and emotionally - he shares their blind faith that Mother is still alive.

5.0 out of 5 stars DVD "SOLO" January 9, 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Good movie, main male actor as the husband isn't very convincing but I knew the lady who crashed her airplane, had heard the story of survival as told by the husband and wife and enjoyed the movie depiction of what took place. This was a good religious family who came to realize a very near tragedy and it brings a reminder to each of us of lifes every day struggles we all go through and we need to cherish loved ones all the more. Amazon has a wonderful vast selection of items, easy to find and select, with reasonable prices, for any taste.

I loved this movie. It shows SO many good things. It shows how not to give up, even if it looks impossible, especially if people have fasted and prayed for a miracle.

2.0 out of 5 stars Home Movie? September 24, 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
The story was interesting, but production left a lot to be desired. I'd say this movie was one step above a home movie.
