Big sounds from the big box,

A great cd! Man and acoustic bass (period) It is a regular listen of mine, and I figured I'd check out whether he'd done any others. It is a great sounding cd, filled with dynamic energy and panache. The range of sound that comes out of his fiddle is a joyous surprise. It will give you a new perspective on the possible range of emotion that can be accomplished with the bass, both plucked and bowed. A tasty treat.

This is crazy good stuff! The only solo bass CD I'd ever even heard of was Jaco Pastorius' "Honestly." Jaco played an electric bass though, and played it like a punk rock guitarist. Wasserman plays it pretty straight here, and the result is stunning. He achieves such rich tonal qualities. The music is great throughout. It never gets boring. Rob is a master, and this album is all the proof you need. Pick up this CD! It's ridiculous!

This is Wasserman's definitive CD. I liked it much more than Trio. His artistry on the bass is amazing, from laid back and cool to upbeat and hot - he does it all. You won't believe that there is just one person playing. Get this album, crank it up on the audio system and have fun!
