5.0 out of 5 stars Weapon & Solo is one of the best 2-book Sci-Fi series ever., November 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Solo (Hardcover)
Robert Mason's 2-book series, "Weapon" and "Solo" is one of the best 2-book Sci-Fi series ever written. The author is aware of his technology and human nature. His striking archetypal images strike chords within the masculine heart and he reflects the zietgiest of the eighties, flawlessly. The movie version was an insult to the subtlety of his work. I've looked forward for years for the next Robert-Mason book and would love to contact the author or a fan club.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even more enjoyable than WEAPON, May 18, 2006
By
This review is from: Solo (Paperback)
After I read WEAPON (twice) I was sad to put it down because I enjoyed the character of SOLO so much. When I discovered that Robert Mason had written a sequel I was delighted and I quickly snapped it up and devoured it. This is a fantastic continuation of the plotlines and themes of the first novel. It is awesome to see SOLO again! Bravo! And let's have another SOLO adventure, soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hi-tech thriller it won't let you go when you pick it up!, June 18, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Solo (Hardcover)
Solo, a robot designed to kill, goes AWOL on his mission in Nicguaga, and finds himself at the bottom of a lake . When Solo reaches the surface and he relizes that he needs to recharge. Solo makes it to New York and makes friends along the way. Laura,a widowed bag lady, quickly becomes his friend using Solo not only as a friend but as protection. Solo is trying to rescue his young "brother" nimrod, a robot like Solo except stonger and newer. People like Admiral Finch and other officers want to have Solo killed or terminated but not if Solo can help it. This book is full of thrills ans spills. I highly recommend this book, i don't read alot, maybe the bible everyonce in a while, and this book caught my eye. I really recommend this book it latches on and does let go.
