I can pump them up all be myself.

While it is difficult to get those last few psi, once you do, the board is very hard and stable.

The board seems to be well constructed and in great shape.

I found this item used on Amazon.com and because of the discount and because it was sold directly through Amazon, I thought it would be worth it to take the risk even though the only review of this item said this was a terrible board.

I have to say that before I bought this board, I believed the previous reviewer had not pumped up the board enough. Isups can be EXTREMELY difficult to pump up with the included hand pump. Because I also own the sevylor samoa inflatable paddleboard, I knew just how difficult it can be. And because of how miserable it is to pump up, I bought a two-stage 12V pump so I don't have to work so hard.

Now, the sevylor needs to be pumped up to 12psi and this solstice board can be pumped up between 12-15psi. So I set my electric pump to 15psi and inflated the solstice board. It was just as hard as the sevylor board. I took it out into the harbor a few days ago and it is not as terrible as the previous review states.

The board was plenty hard. I had no trouble standing on it. It DOES NOT buckle in the middle. It works every bit as good as the sevylor samoa board. I weight 165lbs and am 5'9". It was firm and never buckled.

I would not take it out into the surf zone because I am not an experienced surfer but for cruising around the Keys, the harbor and any other lake, I would be most comfortable. It is easy to balance on and maneuver. I would feel comfortable taking it out in areas there are waves but just not in the areas where the waves break. It is highly buoyant and doesn't cut through surf like a regular surfboard.

Anyway, I thought I would review this board after it had been given a fair chance from being fully inflated.

I live on a lake and I am very pleased with this board. I wanted to try paddle boarding, but didn't want to spend the money on a hard board. I thought that I was trading quality for a low price when I found out about inflatable sups, and would trade up if I liked it. Not only do I like paddle boarding, but I would not switch to a hard board. While it is difficult to get those last few psi, once you do, the board is very hard and stable.

I weigh 165 pounds, and my wife is about 115 - and we can both use it at the same time with no problem (other than coordinating strokes). Also, my 200 lb and 170 lb sons have been on it at the same time, too. And although that had the top pretty much even with the water surface, they could stand up-right on it and paddle it.

I leave it inflated all summer, but it is great to deflate it, roll it up and store it for the winter on a shelf. I plan on buying another of this same model, so my wife and I don't have to share (unless we want to)!

After reading the first persons negative review I felt compelled to write in my review. I have had this board for a couple months and it is a great ISUP. I am 5'10" and 185 lbs and when inflated to 14-15 psi the board is extremely stable. Inflating to this pressure can be a little difficult, but is the same with any ISUP and using short strokes on the pump and putting your weight into it achieves the goal without much difficulty. On the water it is awesome. Very buoyant, and does not bend or fold in the middle where I stand, and I am not a small guy. It is very stable and handles wind and current without a problem. Very easy to transport around. It handles rough water in the river and canals pretty well. Next step is to take it out into the ocean and try some waves. With how it has performed in rough but protected waters I have no concerns with taking it surfing. At such a low price it is a great deal and the construction is very solid.

This really is a very nice and fully functional S.U.P., handling multiple weights well. It's been a great addition to our summer lake toy arsenal. One significant drawback is Solstice. They apparently are in China, with no customer service listing. My package came without a fin pin and no directions, so I figured it was unnecessary. After a few paddles, it held up well, but once the house guests got a hold of it....another story. It popped off when they took it into a shallow area and it was never found. No big deal, just google solstice replacement fin and order another, right? Wrong. Nothing was listed, so I took my chances with something that looked rather universal. Luckily, it worked AND came with a fin pin! Yippee! Here is the link, in case you experience fin loss on your Solstice SUP:

I am a curvy (read between the lines here) woman in her mid-fifties and I LOVE these things. My teenager will WILLINGLY spends time with me paddling about. because they are portable we've been day tripping and weekend tripping with them. I can pump them up all be myself. Whoever complained about the gauge not working didn't pump far enough. The board gets hard waaaay before the gauge registers. It is very stable. I've taught two grandsons to paddle so far, 4 to go :)
The instructions are limited. I got more information by reading other people's reviews than is in the little booklet. It doesn't explain how to seat the tube into port to pump AND deflate. Read posts first! Then go have fun. Can't wait for new adventures next summer.
