This is a very readable intro to how mining is done today, and can be the best book you'll ever read if you are an operator or consultant in mining, environmental remediation... Dr Bartlett knows his stuff and has the experience in industry to back up his writing. Especially valuable are the end-of-chapter problems which were really well-done and amended from 1st edition. Work a few problems to appreciate the power of the book.

Very interesting, easy to read textbook. There are a lot of pictures, schemes and example problems, that make it easy to understand and use in your every day practise. While writing the book authors had analized a lot of materials at the subject. So, the textbook contains an essense of many references, which you can find at the end of every chapter. Basic calculations, widely presented in this textbook, will help you to make fundamental performance evaluations, when dealing with solution mining projects.

This book has a lot of useful information about the heap leaching, that is theoretical information and real data from field.

For me is one of the best books about heap leaching.
