About the Author
John E. McMurry received his B.A. from Harvard University and his Ph.D. at Columbia University. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and an Alfred P. Sloan Research Foundation Fellow. He has received several awards, which include the National Institutes of Health Career Development Award, the Alexander von Humboldt Senior Scientist Award, and the Max Planck Research Award. I would absolutly recommend this product to anyone who bought the hardcover edition. All the answers come with explanations which make it easy to understand and learn organic chemistry.

This study guide has the answer to every problem in the book, and most of them have explanations along with it. I'm convinced this is the reason I got an A. A great resource for studying and helped me to thoroughly understand the material. I studied my lecture notes and then I picked out problems from the book that I thought were relevant to what my professor focused on in class. This really helped me through a tough class. Highly recommended!

This solutions manual doesn't help the student too much, in too many cases it only gives the answer to complicated questions without an explanation. When you are a collage student and you buy this you expect a little bit more help from it. Is like a solutions a appendix for the book, but certainly not a solutions manual. On the other hand I must say that the McMurry Organic book is outstanding, is very sad that the solutions manual is not at the same level.
