Did not count my steps accurately.

Based on previous excellent experience, I ordered SW-200, but was mistakenly sent a CW-200 pedometer. This newer model has a built in clock which automatically reverts to zero at midnight, a frustration to me when I neglected to get a reading late in the evening--and a major problem for nurses and others who work at night I imagine.
I had a rapid email exchange with Yamax customer service in Japan which informed me that the SW-200 was still available. I had very satisfactory service with Amazon in returning the CW-200 and receiving a full refund, and ordering and receiving an SW-200. I wore them both for a day before sending the CW-200 back. Each one counted my steps exactly when I walked 100 and 200 steps. There was some variation in counts when I was moving around the house, doing miscellaneous errands, etc. which is not a problem as far as I am concerned.
I highly recommend this simple pedometer over the ones with various bells and whistles features.

LATER--I dropped and broke this pedometer 12 weeks after I got it. The information that came with it said "Call if your pedometer needs repair 888.339.2067" I called the number and an individual answered and walked me through the steps needed to repair it. In 10 minutes is was as good as new.
A MAJOR ADDITIONAL PLUS.

I have been using the Digi-Walker sw-200 since 2003. It was recommended to me by people at the Boulder CO Center for Sports Medicine. Is is so simple to use, a no frills, uncomplicated little thing. I just make sure I walk 10,000 steps a day (5 miles) and this little device is perfect. Just press the reset button and you can start over the next day. I have used it with a hand-held GPS to check the accuracy - and found it to be accurate in how many miles I go.

After having bought a pair of pedometers the year before and finding that they gradually seem to become more erratic, we did a significant amount of research trying to find a pedometer that was not exorbitantly expensive yet accurate. My wife and I have been using these every day for several months and have been very pleased. Does exactly what we wanted, does it well, and was very inexpensively.

The pedometer I received works fine and it's easy to use, no calibration necessary. It seems to be accurate. It does not look exactly like the one pictured but it has the same simple function. I recommend a tether. The clip works fine on a waistband but once or twice it has come unclipped the the tether kept it attached.

Very simple. All it does is count steps, but it counts them accurately. I've used several of them, and they count over 2.5 million steps before they fail. Don't go swimming with them, however.

I had ordered this pedometer about 4 years ago for a girlfriend then. She loves it and uses it everyday. I bought one last week and I've tested the product by counting off steps in my head and matching it to the pedometer. Right on every time! I like how simple it is to use, and the buttons are protected so no accidental pushing of the button. Be sure to use the strap this will help save your unit from hitting the floor.

As others said comes without any label so you see the gears and with no instructions. The other model I bought not from amazon with the normal cover is reliable but this one was not. Worked for one week then randomly records too few or too many steps. I think the base pedometer is good from my experience with the one that actually says digiwalker but this one is some kind of bad knockoff.

Walkers can feel confident of the number of steps they are taking per day with this product. Only issue I have with it is that it takes a little getting used to opening it when it's not on your waistband or belt.
