About the Author

Sherman Stein, received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. After a one-year instructorship at Princeton University, he joined the faculty at the University of California, Davis, where he taught until 1993. His main mathematical interests are in algebra, combinatorics, and pedagogy. He has been the recipient of two MAA awards; the Lester R. Ford Award for Mathematical Exposition, and the Beckenbach Book Prize for Algebra and Tiling (with Sandor Szabo). He also received The Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of California, Davis, and an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Marietta College.

McGraw Hill's 'Calculus and Analytic Geometry' is an excellent calc book in itself, and this guide is an excellent resource for any student using that book. It contains solutions for all of the problems in the textbook, step by step in an easy to understand manner. I definitely recommend this book and it deserves 5 stars, but I'm only giving it 4 stars because the price is a bit steep.

Book arrived in great condition! The delivery time was close to the end of the alloted time, but it was understandable coming from overseas. Also great response time when contacting vendor.

If you are using the textbook, _Calculus and Analytic Geometry_, it is imperative to get a copy of this solutions manual. The solutions manual comes in handy whenever you run into a difficult problem, and the solutions are very clear and thorough for every problem in the book. This book really helped me in college calculus.
