About the Author

Peter R. Wechsler is a Registered Investment Advisor and has been the president of Franklin Retirement Solutions for the past decade. In his past life, Peter was president of Vend-Rite Service Corporation, a company he founded in 1971 at age 18. Peter was too young to retire after selling the company, and a few years later he reinvented himself as a retirement planning specialist. In addition to his son Jeremy, Peter has been a foster dad and teen mentor for many years and is blessed to have seen his “kids” blossom in many fields.

Jeremy A. Wechsler, Esq. is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania, and his practice focuses on estate planning and elder law planning. After graduating from George Washington University, Jeremy taught in Philadelphia as part of the Teach for America program while
simultaneously earning a master’s degree in education. Next, Jeremy graduated from New York Law School with an interest in estate planning. After graduation, Jeremy began his estates, trusts and elder law practice, helping individuals and families leave a well-crafted legacy plan and also plan for long-term care costs.

If, in your busy life, you haven't thought much about retirement, income and estate planning, "Solving the Retirement Puzzle with 4 Easy Pieces" is an "easy" way to begin. The book, with just over 100 pages, presents helpful information in short paragraphs with key questions and a variety of answers . You can selet those chapters and sections that most interest you. The authors present their insights with some humor that reflects on our human situations.

The four easy pieces are income planning, tax planning, your risk comfort level, and estate & elder planning.
You may well read about concepts and tools that are new to you. I certainly did, and saw that I needed some assistance in reviewing my situation and planning to date. So, as a retiree,I found the book to be very helpful as I continue to make decisions about the management of my assets and retirement.

A friend recommended this book to me, and it's excellent. It breaks down a successful plan for retirement. I am somewhat young, but I want to plan as far ahead as possible. I have been doing my homework, but I still learned a surprising amount. I also discovered new connections between areas I had thought about separately, but didn't understand how they related to my overall plan. My wife also read the book and enjoyed it. Yes, enjoyed it. It's a very funny book and easy to read. That's not expected from a retirement planning book. Highly recommend.

Who would have thought that I could ever understand anything when it came to finances! 4 Easy Pieces is written in such a manner, that even a person who does not have a mind for finance, can easily understand what they once thought was out of their realm of understanding. After reading the book, I felt empowered and informed when I spoke to my financial advisor about issues pertaining to my retirement and future. This book is a must read.
