Protect Your Nest Egg & Retire in Comfort

According to the actuaries, many of us will live into our late 90s and early 100s. That’s a LONG retirement! In fact, many of us will be in retirement for more years than we worked. The big concern for many is the worrisome possibility of running out of money before running out of time. In Solving the Retirement Puzzle, Peter Wechsler and his son Jeremy, lead you through the potential minefields of both retirement and estate planning. Having focused exclusively on retiree issues for the past 10 years, Peter knows the importance of income and tax planning along with assessing your risk comfort level, after 11 years of a down or sideways market. As “Your Retirement Quarterback®,” Peter explains how he helps folks navigate the many challenges involved in “retirement planning.” Using their “Four Step Discovery Review Process,” Peter takes you through the first three steps while Jeremy tackles the fourth step, Estate and Elder Planning.

You’ve worked hard to build your nest egg. You saved, you scrimped and you were determined to retire comfortably. Now, you must strive to protect and preserve that nest egg while also leveraging it for your future and for the future of your kids and grandkids, nieces and nephews. Peter and Jeremy share with you valuable insights, tools and techniques that will help you sleep well at night while enjoying your retirement years.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Easy Step At A Time January 31, 2014
If, in your busy life, you haven't thought much about retirement, income and estate planning, "Solving the Retirement Puzzle with 4 Easy Pieces" is an "easy" way to begin. The book, with just over 100 pages, presents helpful information in short paragraphs with key questions and a variety of answers . You can selet those chapters and sections that most interest you. The authors present their insights with some humor that reflects on our human situations.

The four easy pieces are income planning, tax planning, your risk comfort level, and estate & elder planning.
You may well read about concepts and tools that are new to you. I certainly did, and saw that I needed some assistance in reviewing my situation and planning to date. So, as a retiree,I found the book to be very helpful as I continue to make decisions about the management of my assets and retirement.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Helpful Resource For Anyone January 4, 2014
A friend recommended this book to me, and it's excellent. It breaks down a successful plan for retirement. I am somewhat young, but I want to plan as far ahead as possible. I have been doing my homework, but I still learned a surprising amount. I also discovered new connections between areas I had thought about separately, but didn't understand how they related to my overall plan. My wife also read the book and enjoyed it. Yes, enjoyed it. It's a very funny book and easy to read. That's not expected from a retirement planning book. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who Would Have Thought April 10, 2014
Who would have thought that I could ever understand anything when it came to finances! 4 Easy Pieces is written in such a manner, that even a person who does not have a mind for finance, can easily understand what they once thought was out of their realm of understanding. After reading the book, I felt empowered and informed when I spoke to my financial advisor about issues pertaining to my retirement and future. This book is a must read.
