Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After my dog died, I started to find a lot of mouse-messages in the kitchen. Cleaning daily didn't help. So I bought Mouse Away.

Does it work? Kind of.

I used it as a dilute spray, and I put down cotton balls and sponges with the concentrate dripped onto them. (I also bought the bags that Mouse Away sells for this purpose. The bags contain vermiculite, so you may want to avoid them.)

Results: The stuff doesn't last as long as they tell you. The spray keeps mice at bay for a day or two. The cotton balls and other items need to be re-oiled every five or six days. And it definitely doesn't cause mice to leave the house. They just avoid the spot that's been Mouse-Awayed. They seem to stay about five feet away from the stuff.

The best (and most expensive) results I got were when I accidentally knocked the bottle over on the kitchen floor. That kept them away for weeks.

Unfortunately, at that point rats moved in. There is no such thing as Rat Away. As for Mouse Away, the rats eat the peppermint-flavored sponges and cotton balls like they were candy.
