My first ever Amazon review and I'm writing about dishwasher soap?? I want to spread the word because this stuff really is the best. I bought new glassware and it came out bright and sparkly every time. But then I decided that the Somat was just too expensive so went back to using Cascade. Within a month my glasses were so etched and cloudy they were almost opaque. Then my dishwasher needed repair - not because of the soap but another issue - but the repairman said the machine was full of a sludge of undissolved detergent. He said it is too concentrated to rinse cleanly. So now I have a case of Somat and new glasses which once again come out bright and sparkly every time. This truly is an example of getting what you pay for. Yes, it's much more expensive but the superior performance is worth it.

The Somat dishwasher tabs do an excellent job in my Miele dishwasher. Since they are expensive, I really like being able to get them for a reasonable price with free shipping!

At $12+ a box, this stuff isn't cheap. But in my Miele dishwasher, I can easily get away with using half a tab and getting the dishes perfectly clean. Used this way, the Somat detergent tabs are not much more expensive than your average Finish or Cascade product. I like the way these tabs leave a nice clean smell, not one laden with perfume or artificial lemon scent. And there are deals on Amazon if you purchase in multi box quantities, bringing the price down to less than 50 cents a tab or 25 cents a wash. Not bad for a top notch product from a European manufacturer.
