This review is from: Some Of My Best Friends Are ... The Sax Players (Audio CD)
A fantastic album, mainly ballads & midtempo swing tunes, with 2 uptempo bop tunes thrown in to spice things up a bit. All of the saxophonists shine, especially Joe Lovano on "How High the Moon" & "Easy Living," Ralph Moore on "Crazeology," Jesse Davis on "Moose the Mooch," Joshua Redman on "Just You, Just Me," and Benny Carter on "Fly Me to the Moon." Benny Green is phenomenal throughout, supporting each sax players unique style in just the right way.
