Penn is good but language is a barrier,
By Scot E. Magann (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Some Fruits of Solitude (Paperback)
Penn had some excellent things to say and he said them well three hundred years ago. What he had to say is still excellent but, unfortunately, the old language makes the reading a chore. Since a contemporary language version is available, I recommend Eric Taylor's edition, (0836192052) published by Herald Press. Mr Taylor's endnotes and superior historical introduction are an added bonus.

Excellent,
This review is from: Some Fruits Of Solitude (Paperback)
This book is one of my favorites of all time. Contrary to the previous review, I thoroughly prefer the the Old English version and do not find it a chore to read at all, howerever this is a matter of personal taste.
