5.0 out of 5 stars catchy, simple & singable songs
This album covers a wide span of musical style, all the way from country on a sweet and tender ballad called "Something To You I Just Wanted To Tell" all the way to the grunge spirit of the early nineties on an aggressive, passionate rock explosion called "I Hate You." Yet, somehow, the album is all very distinctly Dean. Most of the songs on the record may only use three...

I was one of the unfortunate people who got spammed by this guy on Mp3.com. The last song I heard from from him was called "Suicide Note"...guess I got my hopes too high cuz here he is with a whole album.

All of the songs are culled from his experience with a girl named Rachel and the people Dean met during his "stalking" of her. The drama that unfolded with these songs, is sadly the most interesting part. The music is pretty dull, and has nothing original to offer. Lyrically he's just trying to figure out why nobody likes him, and wants the listener to sympathize.

Dean really wants to be a rock star, but his ambition and utter tactlessness are much larger than his talent.

Yet, somehow, the album is all very distinctly Dean. Most of the songs on the record may only use three chords, but this reviewer hasn't heard three chords used so well since the early days of Social Distortion. Dean's melodies are catchy, simple, and, best of all, singable.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Hate You, December 28, 2002

I've heard Dean's song's "I Hate You" "You're Almost Dead" "Suicide Note" and "You Make Me Smile" on his IUMA.com site and I think Dean ROCKS. He is and emotional singer/songwriter who tells it like it is. I like "I Hate You" the most, because he says he wrote it in memory of Kurt Cobain in his story "I Wish You Would Kill Yourself Like Your Brother or Like Kurt Cobain".
Dean obviosly is out to get his music heard no matter what the cost, because hundreds of people who received his promotional emails have cried about it in order to get his sites removed. These crybabies obviously have nothing better to do with their time than to try and ruin Dean's name. Time will tell.
