This review is from: Some Holy Weight in the Village Air (Paperback)
In SOME HOLY WEIGHT IN THE VILLAGE AIR, Ira Joe Fisher captures both the light and the dark of Life in America. I believe his hauntingly named village will take its place with Spoon River, Illinois, and Winesburg, Ohio as places that spring to life in the words of a gifted writer. Mr. Fisher's particular contributions to this tradition are a sense of hope, a love of Life, and yes, even a faith in human nature, sorely missing from those earlier works.
