5.0 out of 5 stars ZOMBIE ROCKS!!!
I think that this is an awsome cd ( just like all the others!!!) because you can rock out while you worship God. They are fun to listen to and are my favorite band. You have some hard rock and some not so hard but both are still awsome. I think everyone should know about this band because it is uplifting and very cool. I've listened to this band since I was 6 and they...

This band has changed a lot, nonetheless I like them. They aren't my fav(third day) but I like them. Their old stuff I like but the fake drums aren't for me. I'm not going to say they suck or bad mouth them because If I don't like something it doesn't mean some one else doesn't. we all have opinions. I read one interview that said a cd sucked and to get the newsboys, I...

5.0 out of 5 stars Once again we have a winner!, March 3, 2005
This review is from: Some Kind of Zombie (Audio CD)
Audio Adrenaline is one of my favorite bands ever...they have an awesome CD collection and put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen. I have seen them 6 times, and they are wonderful each time and their CDs are also wonderful. I own each one proudly and play them constantly.

This a great AA CD. I get sucked into this CD the lyrics are wonderful and the music just helps to amplify the wonderful lyrics. It is a CD that you can shout with and sing with and feel great about singing your faith. It is a fun CD with passion and love build in. I just can't say enough good things about his CD. I just feel great each time I pop this CD in...it makes you feel good and raises your spirits. I love every song on this CD none of them are a favorite and non of them do I skip-they are all wonderful! I recommend this CD to any past AA fan and to anyone who likes great music should also own this CD it is a necessity for any music lover!

Some Kind of Zombie is a great CD...it is no different than any other AA CD's as it is just as catchy and hook filled...and it is full out praise music. This CD is wonderful! I would don't think I have disliked an AA CD, but this one is recommended as it is just as good as the others but some of the new CDs outshine the others...AA only keeps outdoing themselves! This is better than Bloom and so forth but the thing of it not one of their CDs is bad or even remotely terrible they are all great; the thing is they only get better! AA is an excellent band!

5.0 out of 5 stars Zombie Rocks, August 31, 2002

SKOZ rocks like Bloom with the fun sound of Underdog. It has a variety of songs from all out rockers like SKOZ and Superfriend to lighter songs like God-Shaped Hole and Original Species. Here's a song to song review:

Chevette: A fun song to start the album w/ a good chorus.(7.5/10)

New Body: A great upbeat rocker that could of fit on Underdog.(8/10)

Some Kind Of Zombie: Best Audio A song ever.(10/10)

Original Species: Decent, but too slow.(6/10)

People Like Me: Fun song.(8.5/10)

Blitz: Great fun rocker.(9/10)

Lighthouse: An Audio A power ballad. Good guitar/chorus mix at end.(9.5/10)

Flicker: Very catchy. (9/10)

God-Shaped Hole: A little slow, but still good. (7.5/10)

Superfriend: Awesome, fast-paced rocker. (9.5/10)

Over all one of Audio Adrenaline's best albums, and well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funky Like A Munky, October 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Some Kind of Zombie (Audio CD)
This is an awesome album. Audio A's rock sound is undyingly cool. "Chevette" is a just plain COOL song, with a great message. "Some Kind of Zombie" is also a VERY funky song, with cool lyrics, and a neat sound. "Blitz", however, beats them all. With a driving guitar sound, good lyrics, the O.C. Supertones' Matt Morginsky singing BGVs, and the Supertones' Superhorns, this is one of the coolest songs I've ever heard. Not to mention "Superfriend", my favorite song on the CD. Oh, yeah, and there's a secret song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Cd from one of Christian rocks best, June 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Some Kind of Zombie (Audio CD)
I am a Christian but it isn't necessary to be to like Audio A.i grew up listening to heavy metal music before I was saved.I am a musicain and after salvation was disappointed at the Christian rock scene.Too many "pop" dance sounding groups.I'm not putting these bands down because thir message is great but not my style.then there are the Christian "hard rock" bands like Styper and Petra.Give me a break!then I discovered Audio Adrenaline.WOW!!these guys rock with a vengeance!Bloom was an awesome Cd and I fully expected Zombie to be a step backward.I was terribly wrong.they have awesome God glorifying lyrics and REAL honest to goodness rock music. No drum machines and sweet melodies here.New Body ,Superfriend ,Lighthouse:All loud distorted guitar and driving bass and drums. Some Kind of Zombie has some really really cool guitar and great lyrics.Flicker (about life on the road serving God)God Shaped Hole, Original Species:All slower but very deep lyrics that show what being a Christian is all about.bass players take note. Will mcGinnis palys some serious bass ala Geddy Lee and Les Claypool.the thing I love most about Audio A is that you can give this to an unsaved person and they will actually listen to it.So,they receive the message they might never hear otherwise.AUDIO ADRENALINE RULE!Let's hope Underdog (due in September) is even better.BUY THIS.........PERIOD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Non-depressing music for people who like contemporary Xtian., January 4, 2006
This review is from: Some Kind of Zombie (Audio CD)
The songs show an underlying energy supporting the music. The lyrics aren't depressing, they aren't "You are not good enough", "You're a sinner and you should suffer into my graces..."'

These are life-experience songs...Little songs, unimportant on a larger scale, but interesting and helpful. Songs that tell the thoughts, the dreams, the reactions that anyone could have, to what goes on in their lives, around them. These aren't stories of Big Heros, who are so large, powerful, and far away that the listener loses perspective... they are little stories, where the listener is the same size as the hero, and the fantastic exploits are thinks that you can do everyday once your head is in the right place.
I feel that the music is kind of a blend of grunge, garage, pop rock, easy listening -- all put into a blender, set on chop, and the best chunkly bits fished out and fitted together in a agreeable way.

Song about a older car - something a pastor could afford, which puns and ploy points, and the story rising with the music.
Pop-funk-techno song about being free of our bodies.
Song comparing how different it is to have something to believe in surrouned by those who don't... surrounded by zombies.
Dedication to a creative creator from an original species.
How people are different, and how much the same.
Fast paced song about a missions trip to MX.
Dedication to traveling, singing, playing gigs, for what you live and believe in.
About how everyone has a "God shaped hole" that they can fill.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good with a bit of filler, January 3, 2005
This review is from: Some Kind of Zombie (Audio CD)
I went to see Audio Adrenaline live in concert years ago (probably around 2000) and purchased all of their CDs. At the time I only had "Underdog" but they were offering every single CD they had ever released at the concert for a good price so I bought every one.

Some Kind of Zombie was always one of my favorites, but listening to it now it's clear that there's a bit of filler going on. The titular track, Chevette and some of the others are really good - but there are one or two that aren't up to par with the rest of the quality of the songs. For that reason I give it 4.5/5 stars rather than a complete rating - but I still highly recommend it.

OK AA is one of my three favorite Christian bands and this CD has my two favorite songs from AA..

Chevette, tho its up on blocks, the car still rocks,
and the title song SKOZ.

Now you have to ask your self, do you just go buy the best of cd HIT PARADE or do you buy their two killer CDs Bloom and SKOZ, or all three! I don't see Jazz Odessey, New Body or Original Species on the best of CD, just to name three that I like. This group is still together and touring so check them out at AudioA.com.
